Description:
Michels Canada is looking for a Fleet Administrator to join our team in Nisku on a temporary basis. This position supports the reliable, safe and cost-effective operation of our impressive fleet of equipment that is utilized for project delivery and various offices spread across Canada. The successful candidate will be performing a wide range of tasks and support business priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and promote a strong safety culture for all employees, vendors, and customers and follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
- Document maintenance to ensure that all necessary paperwork is accurate, up-to-date, and easily accessible.
- Keep track of service records, operator’s manuals, and warranty information for all equipment.
- Responsible for keeping track of the maintenance schedule, and ensuring that all the required paperwork is completed, filed, and stored in an organized manner.
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with regulations and laws related to the maintenance of equipment and vehicles.
- Completing inspections accurately and in a timely manner.
- Ensuring all necessary information is provided to insurance companies in the event of an accident or claim. Assist with processing claims quickly and efficiently, minimizing the impact on the business.
- Ensure that equipment is properly maintained, and that paperwork is accurate and up-to-date and that compliance with regulations is upheld.
- Assist the mechanics with their paperwork, rebates, and warranty to ensure consistency across projects and corporate offices.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- 2-5 years of experience working as a truck dispatcher, fleet administrator, dealership service center, parts personnel, registry, or insurance office.
- Proficient with MS Excel; Experience working with Isaac Instruments, Geotab or other ELD software is an asset.
- Post secondary/Diploma or College level courses related to business administration is preferred.
- Must be able to communicate verbally and through written language (by hand and digitally) in English.
