The Role
As a Project Manager – Transmission, you will lead complex transmission projects from pursuit through closeout. You may manage a major phase of a large-scale project or oversee multiple medium-sized projects ranging from $500K to $10M+.
You are accountable for scope, schedule, budget, safety, quality, and client satisfaction, with a strong emphasis on safety leadership and financial performance. This role is ideal for a driven, organized leader who thrives in the field and enjoys owning outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead projects through estimating, bidding, execution, and closeout
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards
- Manage subcontractors, suppliers, field leadership, and project teams
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Track costs, forecasts, schedules, and performance metrics
- Promote and exemplify Michels’ safety-first culture

What It Takes
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
- 5–7 years of relevant experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with project management software (Primavera, HCSS, or similar)
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Willingness and ability to travel and commit to long-term, on-site projects
