Description

The Marketing and Culture Specialist will ensure definition and execution of regional internal and external marketing activities for Michels Canada in partnership with the US team. The focus will be on regional strategy, including digital marketing initiatives, trade show participation, targeted client events, and employee engagement. Critical for success is a passion for relationship building with an emphasis on communication and upholding company culture. This position reports directly to the Director of Marketing & Communications and will be based out of our Nisku office.

Responsibilities

Maintain and promote a strong safety culture for all employees, vendors, and customers and follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions. Work closely with the United States Marketing & Culture team on cultural initiatives, marketing campaigns, tradeshows, and events that support overall company engagement. Assist with establishing the marketing department’s overall strategic goals for Michels Canada. Lead culture initiatives, drive change, and support ongoing improvement across Michels Canada. Identify and manage new initiatives as directed by leadership. Build and manage relationships with employees across office locations to ensure integration of the Michels brand and company culture. Keep a strong pulse on employee engagement and proactively gain insights from employees. Assist with the creation of print and digital communication materials, from design through publication, while adhering to tight deadlines. Coordinate photo and video shoots of projects, jobsites, and employees for use in marketing materials. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field, and 3+ years of relevant marketing experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. Must be fluent in English and French, verbally and in writing. Expertise with social media tools, platforms, and trending strategies. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, and both Macintosh and PC environments. Valid passport with ability to travel to the US.
