As a Mechanical Design Engineer, your key responsibilities include designing and integrating components and systems for heavy equipment. This role offers ownership of your designs from concept through production, with a focus on enhancing performance, reliability, well meeting company standards. The Mechanical Design Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, custom manufacturing, testing, and suppliers to ensure the designs meet performance and cost targets and are fully functional. What it takes:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering design, preferably in heavy equipment or machinery
- Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) tools and Microsoft Office
- Experience working in cross-functional teams
- Must possess a valid driver license for the type(s) of vehicles which may be driven, and an acceptable driving record as determined by Michels Review Team
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as casting, forging, machining, and welding (desired)
- Experience conducting or supporting field validation and performance testing of equipment (desired)
