Data Lead, Merge Mansion

We are looking for an experienced Data Lead to lead our data craft within the Merge Mansion team. As a Data Lead, you’ll be leading and mentoring data analysts and engineers across multiple product teams, fostering collaboration and the sharing of best practices. Merge Mansion’s Data team focuses on supporting our game development by providing data insights and analyses, creating and maintaining game-specific dashboards, improving data practices, and delivering meaningful reports to different stakeholders. You'll also help foster a data-driven culture while managing multiple projects in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.

Responsibilities
- Leading and mentoring data analysts and engineers across multiple product teams, fostering collaboration and sharing of best practices
- Understanding keys stakeholder needs and ensuring that actionable insights drive game development
- Establishing best practices in data analysis, A/B testing, and data visualization to ensure data integrity and consistency across product teams
- Identifying skill gaps within the data team and provide coaching, training, and resources to enhance technical and analytical capabilities
- Staying up to date with the latest trends and technologies in data analytics to drive continuous improvement within the data function
- Overseeing the creation of dashboards, reports, and models to provide actionable insights on game performance, player behavior, and KPIs
- Aligning with the central data team on the analytics technology vision
Requirements
- Extensive experience working as a data analyst or in a similar role related to business operations, with a proven record of leading teams
- Strong understanding of game business models, KPIs, and game development and/or B2C online business and consumer segmentation
- Situational awareness to successfully support game teams in data-driven decision-making across a broad range of game development stages
- A good understanding of how to develop and improve our game and to support development teams in doing this
- Strong proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, and R, and visualization tools like Tableau, Looker, or Power BI
- Strong understanding of data models and the advantages and disadvantages of various approaches
- Strong people and communication skills combined with a service-oriented attitude
- Familiarity with the Free-to-Play mobile gaming market and an understanding of key metrics and challenges in the industry
