Purpose & Missions:
- Through high quality and effective marketing & public relations activities, help MGS to grow fast and effectively in the transition phase from feasibility to execution
- Help to lay the ground for MGS to become a green steel leader with strong and modern international reputation, with effective, quality, focused and digital marketing and public relations activities, in line with MGS’ Core Values
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute detailed strategic marketing and public relations plans for:
- Positioning MGST by the time operations start to achieve targeted sales and profitability levels in domestic and export sales of green HRC
- Positioning MGST by the time operations start to achieve sales growth and profit goals in targeted new domestic and international markets
- Positioning MGS by the time operations start to achieve targeted brand awareness / recognition and customer satisfaction level.
- Ensure alignment of the detailed strategic marketing and public relations plans with MGST’s overall vision, mission, and strategic plans.
- Develop and lead rollout of product brand(s). Define and execute long-term & short-term objectives and support the future sales team in developing the go to market strategies for the product brand(s).
- Develop, strengthen, and expand strategic relationships with key stakeholders, including but not limited to business partners and agencies, customers, shareholders, authorities, communities, and employees in close cooperation with other functions within MGST.
- Oversee all day to day marketing and public relations activities including but not limited to campaigns, events, community activities, and managing continuous development of tactical activities in market and other relevant marketing initiatives as set out in the strategic plans.
- Oversee hiring, managing, and development of marketing and public relations team members.
- Ensure full integrity of the marketing and public relations team and develop relevant systems.
- In cooperation with other teams of MGST, ensure that the Company engages in the relevant market research and market intelligence activities to identify and assess, forecast, and simulate:
- Identify customer needs and preferences in existing and new markets
- Competitor activities and required tactical responses
- International and domestic pricing level for the relevant steel products
- Distribution channel activity, changes, and potential opportunities to increase efficiency, or add value to customers by utilizing new sales / distribution methods.
- Monitor progress against targeted strategic and operational goals, and oversee development and implementation of needed tactical actions.
- Design, review and manage budget for marketing and public relations activities.
- Actively participate and contribute to the executive management of MGST, including as a member of the Company Leadership Team (CLT). Work with other executives in line with MGST’s Core Values and provide cross functional support as required.
- Actively participate and contribute to MGST’s cooperate social responsibility CSR)programme.
- Encourage teamwork with other teams and leverage team skills across MGST.
Note: Support the CEO in all relevant tasks where requested.
Requirements/ Skills/ Experience:
- Thai nationality required
- 10 years of successful and relevant experience in relevant business and leadership roles
- Experience in International company at least 5 years
- International mindset, with ability to understand cultural context and different perspectives
- Passion for decarbonising steel industry and courage to participate in a frontrunner project
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and be flexible to adjust quickly in a dynamic environment
- Ability to network and communicate well with authorities, business partners and agencies, shareholders, customers, communities, and colleagues
Required Education/ Qualification/ Training:
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field (Business/Marketing) is preferred.
- Master's Degree preferred
Required Language Proficiency:
- English (Fluent in both writing and speaking)
