This role exists to unlock the next level of impact from lifecycle marketing at Mentimeter. With a strong foundation already in place, the mandate is to refine, connect, and scale lifecycle strategy, decisioning, and systems to support long-term growth.
As Lifecycle moves into its next phase and becomes the core foundation for how we work with users across Mentimeter, this role provides clear, long-term ownership of the full user journey — its framework, architecture, and measurable business impact — to support and scale the great work already happening.
You will join a Lifecycle Marketing team of 5 skilled marketers who work across the customer lifecycle and have built a solid foundation. Your role is to build on that work and set Mentimeter up well for the next phase of growth.
The role in a nutshell
As Director of Lifecycle Marketing, you are the single accountable owner of the lifecycle system at Mentimeter.
You own lifecycle strategy, system design, operating model, and measurable business impact across Activation, Engagement, Retention, Resurrection, and Monetization. Your responsibility is to ensure lifecycle marketing operates as a continuously improving growth system that materially impacts company outcomes.
This is a senior director-level role (M4), reporting to the CMO, operating in a fast-evolving, high-complexity environment. You lead through others, while bringing deep hands-on lifecycle craft and strong operator credibility, with the ability to personally diagnose and redesign systems when needed.
Your mission
Own lifecycle as a business-critical growth system
- Be the single accountable owner of lifecycle strategy across the full user journey
- Ensure lifecycle supports both product-led and sales-assisted growth
- Own lifecycle incrementality and ensure decisions are driven by true, causal impact
Evolve the lifecycle system
- Refine and evolve lifecycle assumptions, logic, and sequencing
- Develop the User Lifecycle Framework into a living operating system informed by data and experimentation
- Raise the bar for experimentation rigor, decision quality, and system intelligence
Define lifecycle decision logic
- Own lifecycle decisioning including segmentation, eligibility, sequencing, prioritization, and suppression
- Translate product, behavioral, and commercial signals into clear lifecycle actions
- Partner closely with Product, Data, and RevOps on data foundations, while owning how signals are used
Own lifecycle architecture, CRM, and AI enablement
- Act as senior owner of Braze and lifecycle CRM architecture
- Drive pragmatic use of AI to improve automation, relevance, and scale within a coherent lifecycle system
Lead complex, cross-functional change
- Own and drive initiatives across Product, Sales, Technology, Data, and Operations
- Lead change related to new lifecycle ways of working and AI adoption
- Navigate ambiguity, trade-offs, and dependencies while building alignment through clear communication
Your impact
Lifecycle Marketing is expected to drive measurable impact across:
- Activation efficiency: faster time-to-value and stronger early habit formation
- Retention and engagement depth: sustained usage and long-term retention
- Monetization efficiency: conversion, expansion, and revenue across PLG and sales-assisted motions
- Incremental impact and capital efficiency: proving causal impact through experimentation and incrementality
You are accountable for ensuring lifecycle impact is measurable, causal, and commercially grounded, not just correlated with growth.
Who you are
You are a senior lifecycle, CRM, or growth leader with experience owning company-wide systems in a product-led SaaS environment. You combine strong business acumen with deep lifecycle craft and enjoy building intelligent systems that scale.
