VP People
Mentimeter is an engagement tool with a clear goal in mind. To turn presentations into conversations. Through real-time interactivity and clear visualizations, we get people to participate, engage and become more productive. Transforming all those passive meetings, airless classrooms and drawn out trainings into valuable and memorable moments.
We truly believe that you achieve the best results by doing things together. And that successful leaders need to adopt a curious and collaborative mindset in order to get there. So with you at Mentimeter, you’ll be a big part of the ambition to help over 1 billion people listen, learn and work better together.
This role in a nutshell
What if HR wasn’t about policies, programs, and processes—but about unleashing the full potential of people and teams to create extraordinary results together?
At Mentimeter, we don’t reduce people to resources, and we don’t rely on rules to keep us in check. Instead, we build on trust, self-leadership, and the simple truth that culture is strategy.
As VP People, you will be one of the key shapers of Mentimeter’s future. You’ll co-own our People & Culture strategy with the Chief People & Culture Officer, and you’ll lead a global department of passionate P&C professionals. Your task: make sure our ways of working remain human, progressive, and impactful.
You’ll be the bridge between vision and execution—turning our values into lived experiences, our culture into everyday practice, and our people strategy into visible impact across the company.
What you’ll do
- Create business impact: Work closely with the CPCO and the rest of the management team to ensure that your work directly impacts our company vision, mission, strategy, and business goals.
- Keep culture at the core: Make sure our core values and leadership principles inform decisions across all regions, departments, leaders and employees.
- Scale by empowering our people: Work outside your circle of control to empower, catalyze, and support to unlock growth, engagement, and long-term success.
- Guard our soul: Ensure that all people, processes, programs, and ceremonies are simple, human, and enable performance without bureaucracy and rigid rules.
- Partner with the business: Work closely with department leadership teams and HR Business Partners to identify pain points, challenges, and opportunities for action.
- Shape the global journey: Align our global P&C teams while allowing regional differences to flourish.
- Direct with clarity and bravery: Lead our global P&C department* of 20+ people, setting direction while fostering autonomy, growth, and trust.
Our global People & Culture department currently comprises 23 professionals, covering talent acquisition, workplace and employee experience, learning & development, and people operations. You will lead our People & Culture Management team and have 4 - 10 direct reports.
Who you are
This role is for a seasoned people leader who views culture as the company's operating system.
- You’ve led a People & Culture function of 15+ people in a fast-paced, values-driven and international environment.
- You bring 8+ years of leadership experience, including leading other leaders.
- You’re fluent across P&C domains—talent, learning, leadership, operations, and culture—and know how to connect them into one meaningful whole.
- You have based your work on a deep understanding of human psychology, psychological safety, high-performing teams, motivation theory, and transformative leadership.
- You thrive in change and complexity, making grounded, values-driven decisions even when the path ahead is unclear.
- You strike a balance between vision and pragmatism: bold enough to reimagine, yet grounded enough to act and decide swiftly.
- You are a great communicator used to speaking and writing English in professional settings.
Why join us?
✅ Because you’ll lead one of (what we believe is...) the most progressive People & Culture teams out there.
✅ Because you’ll be shaping the future of work.
✅ Because here, P&C is not a support function—it’s at the very core of our business strategy.
✅ Because you’ll get to work in a company where inclusion, curiosity, working smart, taking ownership, and having fun are everyday practices.
