Associate Trainer - AI Healthcare Operations
Ensemble Health Partners is seeking an Associate Trainer - AI Healthcare Operations to support the onboarding, development, readiness, and continuous performance improvement of clinical annotators working on AI-related healthcare workflows. Our work supports machine learning initiatives, model evaluation, and human-in-the-loop processes that require accurate clinical data annotation, extraction, abstraction, validation, and quality review. This role translates clinical, project, and technical requirements into structured training experiences while partnering with Operations, Quality, project POCs, stakeholders, SMEs, AI scientists, and AI engineering teams to ensure alignment, governance, and consistent execution against project expectations.
What You Will Do
- Deliver onboarding, project-specific, certification, refresher, and remedial training for clinical annotators working on healthcare AI annotation, extraction, and validation workflows.
- Create and maintain learner-centered training materials, job aids, practice activities, assessments, and reference guides aligned with project scope and learner needs.
- Assess learner readiness, provide actionable feedback, and facilitate targeted coaching or retraining based on quality outcomes, assessment results, and observed performance.
- Analyze assessment results, production performance, recurring errors, learner feedback, and quality trends to identify knowledge, skill, process, or execution gaps.
- Partner with stakeholders, project POCs, Operations, Quality, SMEs, AI scientists, and AI engineering teams to clarify requirements, align expectations, and translate updates into training actions.
- Participate in stakeholder alignment discussions, calibration sessions, launch readiness reviews, and change-management communications to ensure training remains current and accurate.
- Support training governance by following approved SOPs, version control practices, documentation standards, evaluation criteria, and escalation pathways.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by recommending updates to training content, delivery methods, assessments, coaching plans, and readiness criteria based on evidence and stakeholder feedback.
What You Bring
- Medical or pharmacy degree; physician background preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in the training field.
- Demonstrated training, facilitation, onboarding, coaching, or learning-content development experience.
- Healthcare AI and clinical annotation or extraction knowledge or experience.
- Working knowledge of Revenue Cycle Management and clinical documentation workflows.
- Strong presentation, communication, analytical, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Being an IBCT Certified Associate Trainer or having Training of Trainers (TOT) certification or completion is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Physician background, particularly where the candidate can demonstrate strong clinical reasoning and ability to simplify clinical concepts for learners.
- Active IBCT certification, preferably Certified Associate Trainer or Certified Trainer.
- Formal certification in training, adult learning, instructional design, coaching, or learning and development.
- Experience onboarding or developing clinicians, annotators, healthcare operations employees, or technical teams.
- Experience working directly with AI engineers, product teams, quality teams, or cross-functional healthcare technology stakeholders.
- Experience developing assessments, certification pathways, learning materials, job aids, and remediation plans.
- Exposure to medical coding, clinical documentation, utilization management, healthcare data quality, or related RCM areas.
