Job Application for Data Governance & Management Expert at MENA Consultant

Location: Amman, Jordan.
Years of Experience: 6-10 years of relevant experience.
Working Arrangement: on-site.
Language Requirements: Fluency in Arabic & English (written and spoken).

The Data Governance & Management Expert will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust data governance frameworks and practices to ensure compliance, consistency, and quality across the organization’s data assets. This role focuses on developing governance policies, conducting maturity assessments, aligning with Saudi National Data Management Office (NDMO) standards, and ensuring adherence to international best practices. The expert will also support stakeholders in optimizing data management processes to enhance decision-making and operational efficiency.

Key Requirements

6–10 years of proven experience in data governance and management.
Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing data governance frameworks, policies, and processes.
Hands-on experience with data compliance and maturity assessments.
Direct experience in Saudi NDMO implementations.

Preferred Qualifications

Certification in data governance or data management (e.g., Certified Data Management Professional – CDMP).

Other Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Information Management, Computer Science, or a related field.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels and communicate technical information effectively.
High level of professionalism, attention to detail, and adaptability.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement comprehensive data governance frameworks and policies.
Ensure compliance with Saudi NDMO standards and alignment with international best practices.
Conduct data governance maturity assessments and recommend improvements.
Oversee the establishment of data quality, metadata management, and master data management processes.
Collaborate with business and technical teams to ensure consistent application of data management standards.
Provide guidance and advisory support to stakeholders on data governance and compliance.
Monitor and report on the effectiveness of governance initiatives, including KPIs and compliance metrics.
Support change management and capability-building initiatives to embed governance practices across the organization.
