Remote - US

With massive reach through Linux distributions, enterprise deployments and public clouds, MariaDB is uniquely positioned as the leading database for modern application development.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a strategic and hands-on Product Marketing Manager with a primary focus on empowering our global sales organization. Your mission is to translate our powerful database technology into clear, compelling narratives and tools that help our sellers win deals and accelerate revenue growth. While you will manage the full spectrum of product marketing, your success will be measured by your ability to make our sales and partner teams the most knowledgeable, effective, and successful in the industry.

Responsibilities

  • Own and Drive Sales Enablement: Act as the primary marketing partner for our global sales organization. Your core responsibility is to equip them with the strategy, knowledge, and tools they need to win. This includes creating competitive battle cards and compelling presentations, and personally hosting engaging global enablement sessions to ensure they can articulate our value proposition with confidence.
  • Create High-Impact Content: Develop a rich portfolio of content—from technical whitepapers and webinars to sales decks, solution briefs, and customer success stories—that articulate the value of our products and fuels our demand generation engine.
  • Deliver Actionable Competitive Intelligence: Be an expert on the competitive landscape. You will produce and maintain potent competitive battle cards, objection handling guides, and positioning insights that give our sales team a decisive edge in the field.
  • Craft the Foundational Narrative: Develop the core product positioning and messaging that serves as the bedrock for all sales tools and marketing content. You'll become an expert on our buyers and translate that knowledge into powerful stories that resonate with the market.
  • Support Product Launches: Collaborate closely with marketing and product leadership on the go-to-market plan for new releases. You will own the creation of launch-related marketing assets and the critical task of ensuring the entire sales organization is trained, confident, and ready to sell from day one.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in product marketing, with a strong preference for candidates who have worked directly with databases, DBaaS, data infrastructure, or deeply technical SaaS products.
  • Technical Acumen: You are comfortable engaging with engineers and product managers and can translate complex technical concepts into clear, value-driven messaging for different audiences.
  • Master Storyteller and Content Creator: You have a gift for writing and can produce compelling, high-quality content across various formats. You have a portfolio of work you're proud to share.
  • A "Get It Done" Mindset: You are proactive, resourceful, and excel at problem-solving. You can operate in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and navigate ambiguity with ease.
  • Collaborative Spirit: You thrive in a team environment, actively seek out and value diverse perspectives, and are skilled at giving and receiving constructive feedback to make the work better.
  • Data-Informed: You use customer insights, competitive intelligence, and market data to make strategic decisions and build effective marketing plans.

Why Join Us?

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
