The Team

This is an outstanding opportunity to join one of the largest alternative asset managers. Technology is central to Man’s business strategy, and we are constantly evolving to stay ahead. Our culture embraces change and innovation, with engineering at the heart of our operating platform.

We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to build and evolve our order-management systems. The role spans C#/.NET services and a React/TypeScript application, with significant work on the trader-facing front end. You do not need to be a front-end specialist, but you should enjoy working across the stack and be willing to develop your skills where needed. Curiosity, ownership and collaboration matter to us: you will learn a complex architecture and trading domain, work closely with colleagues across a global team, and have access to advanced AI development tools and integrations to support your day-to-day work.

You will collaborate with skilled engineers and build knowledge of financial markets and order management while working on meaningful technical challenges.

 

Role Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex software solutions - from requirements gathering and architecture design to development, testing, and production deployment
• Own and drive long-term technical initiatives and architectural improvements across systems
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals
• Champion engineering best practices, including CI/CD, automated testing, and scalable design patterns
• Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to peers and junior engineers
• Proactively identify and reduce technical debt, improve system resilience, and optimize performance
• Lead incident response and root cause analysis for production issues
• Mentor and coach junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence
• Contribute to the evolution of our engineering culture and platform strategy
• Build and improve trader-facing order-management workflows in React and TypeScript, alongside the C#/.NET services that support them
• Deliver features across the UI and backend, collaborating with users and other engineers to make complex workflows clear and reliable
• Develop an understanding of the OMS architecture and trading domain, and use that knowledge to make sound technical decisions
• Collaborate and share knowledge with colleagues across locations and time zones
• Use available AI-assisted development tools thoughtfully for investigation, implementation and testing, while taking responsibility for the correctness and quality of the result

 

Key Competencies

Essential

• Significant professional software-engineering experience, including strong C# and .NET skills and a track record of delivering production systems
• Proven experience in architectural design, system scalability, and distributed systems
• Ability to balance delivery of business value with long-term technical strategy
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work with stakeholders and drive consensus
• Passion for mentoring and developing engineering talent
• Strong advocate for collaborative development practices and continuous improvement
• Comfortable contributing to a production front-end application and keen to work with React and TypeScript; deep expertise in a particular front-end framework is not required
• Curious and willing to learn a complex architecture and business domain
• A collaborative, pragmatic approach to working with users and a global engineering team

Advantageous

• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure or AWS) and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
• Hands-on experience with React and TypeScript, particularly data-intensive applications or complex user workflows
• Experience integrating front-end applications with REST or GraphQL APIs
• Familiarity with AI-assisted software-development tools
