How we work
Our developers work in small, cross-functional teams. Engineering roles fall broadly into two groups:
- Quant Platform Developers (“Core Techs”) build the shared platforms and infrastructure that power our research and trading.
- Quant Developers (“Sector Techs”) work in teams aligned to a particular asset class or market sector, which is where the name comes from.
Our technology
Nearly all of our systems run on Linux, and most of our code is written in Python. We rely heavily on the open-source scientific stack, including numpy, scipy, pandas and scikit-learn.

You don’t need a finance background to thrive here, but if you have one, we’ll value it highly. Experience in areas such as trading, portfolio management, risk, derivatives pricing, market data, or financial engineering helps you understand the problems our researchers and portfolio managers are solving, and lets you build better tools for them. If you’ve worked at a bank, hedge fund, asset manager, exchange, or fintech, or a degree in finance, economics, or mathematics, we’d especially like to hear from you.
