The team
The Middle Office team is responsible for Security pricing controls, NAV (Net Asset Valuation) calculations, fee modelling, and portfolio rebalancing across Feeder/Master/Multi Book structures, as well as setting trading levels and instructing FX hedges related to client capital flows. As a manager the role involves overseeing key processes, managing a team, and driving strategic improvements.
The Manager demonstrates both technical expertise and leadership capabilities to shape team priorities and deliver high-level outcomes
Responsibilities
Management/Leadership
- Manage and develop a small/medium size team, providing mentorship, technical guidance, and career development support
- Drive strategic process improvements and technological enhancements aligned with departmental goals
- Provide direct support to global senior management in strategic planning and implementation of key initiatives
- Shape team priorities and influence decision-making through technical expertise and business acumen
- Establish and maintain key stakeholder relationships across the business
Technical development
- Drive continuous improvement of existing systems / processes / procedures and MIS
- Utilise in house technology to deliver efficient solutions to improve or deliver new metrics and visualisation of both reporting and control process
Core Delivery
- Use the firm's systems and other available tools to oversee and guide the review and analysis of fund profit and loss account across asset classes
- Review accuracy of fund profit and loss at security level using risk-based measures including both exchange traded instruments and OTC's (Over the counter) derivatives
- Oversee the calculation of Net Asset Value (NAV) of funds including complex management and performance fee calculations and guide team members in resolving complex discrepancies
- Manage relationships with fund administrator/s to ensure accurate and timely NAV reconciliation
- Oversee the implementation of Feeder – Master and Multi -Book fund rebalance, ensuring correct application of fund, book and programme specific parameters
- Oversee foreign exchange exposure review process and oversee hedging operations
Skills
- Strong academic background in a quantitative or analytical field (Mathematics, Finance and Accounting, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, or any data/finance-oriented disciplines)
- 8+ years previous experience in financial services industry including exposure to fund and/or financial instrument valuation
- Deep understanding of fund accounting and/or valuation of financial instruments
- Proven people management and leadership skills
- Strong strategic thinking and business acumen
- Excellence in stakeholder management and communication at all levels
- Demonstrated project management experience with track record of successful delivery

- Basic programming knowledge with enthusiasm to develop technical skills
- Professional qualifications (CFA, accounting qualifications)
- Python programming (or similar languages), SQL or database experience to assist with automation of process and reporting
