During the six-month programme, you will work on professional assignments based on your skills and interests, and will benefit from coaching through the transition period from Career Returners, together with internal mentoring and network access. At the end of the programme, there will be the possibility of a permanent role with the organisation.
About the Role:
Man Group is seeking a skilled and experienced Tech Support Specialist to join our Technology team on a 6-month contract. This role will focus on replacing end-of-life (EOL) devices and upgrading existing systems from Windows 10 and Windows 11 across the organisation. The successful candidate will work within a fast-paced environment, interfacing with high-profile users and ensuring seamless laptop and workstation deployments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the replacement, support and return of EOL and Windows 10 devices
- Build, configure and deploy laptops and workstations in line with project timelines and company standards
- Manage and track replacements and returns via JIRA
- Provide technical support to all users, ensuring minimal disruptions and excellent customer service
- Coordinate with internal teams and stakeholders to schedule and execute deployments efficiently
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues
- Update and maintain asset management records
- Provide frequent updates and proactively identify and escalate risks or delays in the project to ensure successful delivery
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in large-scale laptop and workstation deployment projects
- Strong expertise in Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems
- Proficiency managing macOS devices
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with high-profile users
- Solid understanding of hardware and software troubleshooting, configuration, and deployment processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Experience in project-based roles, including meeting deadlines and managing competing priorities
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with JIRA, Slack, Intune and Jamf
- Knowledge of enterprise IT environments within the financial services industry
- Experience with asset management tools and processes
- ITIL certification or similar
- Familiarity with Bloomberg Terminal setup and troubleshooting
