  • Research Collaboration: Partner with quantitative researchers to evaluate pricing models, signals, and strategy changes before deployment.
  • Technology Collaboration: Work closely with engineers to improve pricing, quoting, execution, monitoring, and automated risk controls.
  • Strategy Development: Develop and improve hedging strategies and identify opportunities to expand and enhance the market-making platform.

Required Qualifications

  • Options Trading: 3–5 years of professional options trading experience, with meaningful experience in index options market making.
  • Index & Volatility Products: Direct experience trading SPX, VIX, ES options, or closely related index and volatility products.
  • Automated Trading: Experience operating an automated or semi-automated options market-making system.
  • Options Expertise: Strong understanding of options pricing, implied volatility, volatility surfaces, skew, term structure, and Greeks.
  • Risk Management: Practical experience managing delta, gamma, vega, inventory, event risk, and hedging.
  • Market Microstructure: Strong understanding of quoting, spread capture, adverse selection, execution, and hedging costs.
  • P&L Analysis: Ability to analyze live trading P&L and make effective decisions using both data and real-time market information.
  • Research & Engineering Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with quantitative researchers and engineers to improve trading systems and performance.

Nice to Have

  • Firm Background: Experience at a leading proprietary trading firm, hedge fund, or market-making firm.
  • Options Experience: Experience with 0DTE or short-dated index options, volatility surface and skew trading, or index volatility strategies.
  • Trading & Execution: Experience with inventory-based quoting, electronic execution, and options market microstructure.
  • Hedging & Risk: Experience with futures and options hedging, automated trading controls, and risk management systems.

Why Join Us?

  • Trading Ownership: Take meaningful ownership of live trading decisions and the continued growth of our index options market-making business.
  • Technology & Research: Work directly with quantitative researchers and engineers to improve a sophisticated trading platform.
  • Startup Environment: Agile and entrepreneurial culture with significant ownership, autonomy, and direct impact.
  • Global Platform: Work within a growing proprietary trading firm with access to global markets, technology, and research capabilities.
