Position Overview

We’re seeking a Trade Operations Engineer to ensure the smooth and reliable operation of our trading systems. In this role, you’ll monitor and manage the full trade lifecycle, provide real-time support to traders, and serve as a first responder to system alerts and trade incidents. You’ll also collaborate with developers, researchers, and infrastructure teams to deploy new strategies, improve monitoring tools, and enhance operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Trade Operations: Monitor and manage the trade lifecycle, including order execution, trade booking, and position management. This involves a real-time understanding of our proprietary trading strategies and the ability to troubleshoot issues.
• Broker & Exchange Liaison: Build and maintain relationships with counterparties while resolving issues utilizing third-party systems in real time.
• Risk & Compliance Monitoring: Track position and trading limits to ensure adherence to external regulations and internal controls.
• System Monitoring: Oversee the health and performance of trading systems, DMA connections, and broker APIs.
• Incident Response: Act as first responder for system alerts, identify root causes, escalate appropriately, and communicate status updates.
• Operational Support: Provide front-line support to traders for execution, reconciliations, and market data feeds.
• Process Improvement: Document and enhance operational procedures to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Collaboration: Partner with developers, researchers, and infrastructure teams to support deployment of new trading strategies, build monitoring tools and features, and resolve technical challenges.

Required Qualifications

• Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Python for automation and data analysis; C++ experience a plus.
• Financial Markets: Solid understanding of futures and options trading, market microstructure, trade lifecycles, and order types is essential.
• Trading Systems: Hands on experience with trading platforms including DMA protocols and 3^rd party platforms; familiarity with CME ecosystem preferred.
• Operating Systems: Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix environments and command-line tools.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues under pressure with meticulous attention to detail.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for cross-team collaboration.
