QA Engineer

Join LUKSO’s Tech Team as a QA Engineer and become an integral part of ensuring our products/technology meet the highest standards before reaching our community, partners and end-users. You'll play a pivotal role in delivering quality products, working closely with software engineers and the product team. Our QA Engineers meticulously test our products (dApps & Universal Profiles apps), identify defects, and collaborate on resolutions. This person needs to have a keen eye for detail, a passion for web3 and blockchain technologies, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

LUKSO was Co-Founded by Chief Blockchain Architect, Fabian Vogelsteller, author of ERC-20, ERC-725, Web3.js, Mist Browser and former Lead Dapp developer of Ethereum and Marjorie Hernandez, an early blockchain strategist working with Ethereum, IOTA Foundation and world-renowned brands, who also Co-Founded THE DEMATERIALISED.

In one year you’ll know you were successful if you’ve…

• Collaborated with the Product team and Engineers to set product quality goals and define acceptance criteria for upcoming features.
• Written comprehensive test plans and cases, encompassing various types of testing including functional, system, end-to-end, load, performance, security, and regression testing, for ongoing quality monitoring.
• Executed these test plans and cases, tracked and managed detected defects, and coordinated with engineers and the product team to analyze issues and propose solutions.
• Performed manual testing of new features and bug fixes, established processes for improved coding standards, and took responsibility for product output.
• Specified and took ownership of automated test scenarios across and between our products.
• Learnt how our products work, and dove deep into the LUKSO ecosystem (including Universal Profiles, LUKSO Standard Proposals, our community and needs). 

A background like this helps:

• 2+ years of experience in frontend QA engineering or experience in browser extension/mobile app QA engineering.
• Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Good test analysis and test method design ability to solve complex quality problems.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process and using collaboration tools.
• Fluent English and strong writing plus communication skills.
• Experience in web3, regardless of how deep (i.e. I’ve used MetaMask OR I’ve spun up validators) -> Bonus points for LUKSO knowledge! 
• Enjoys breaking things and solving problems, whilst finding unknown unknowns before our users.
