The role of the Housekeeping Assistant is to provide a safe and enjoyable residential environment, a high level of cleanliness/upkeep for all front, and back of house areas. The central purpose of the role is to clean allocated areas throughout the day, in accordance to set standards/expectations whilst delivering the highest level of intuitive service, cleanliness and customer care - combined with personalised communication/interaction with all stakeholders; all in line with the agreed service standards and procedures. Each resident is to be afforded with a unique service experience and every request is to be completed promptly, decisively, and with grace – always adapting, continuously improving.

  • To ensure consistent knowledge of our vision & roots and all other service standards or operating procedures and assist the leadership team in their implementation ensuring our residential & guest experiences at Thames City. 
  • To perform all daily tasks outlined in the shift task list found in SPIKE in a proactive, professional and timely manner with the overall aim to delight our residents with uplifting & blissful moments 
  • To ensure we Negotiate NO with any request which requires a different solution and creative thinking. 
  • To greet our residents, their guests, and visitors by Engaging in Eye Contact within 10 steps, nodding with a smile, whilst offering a verbal greeting in 5 steps or less.
  • Reactively handling all amenity requests from residents to provide creative options in a timely manner through Quick and Efficient Service ensuring action and follow up through to closure to ensure the resident is delighted noting preferences and preparing for those Everlasting Moments
  • Responsible for maintaining the highest quality database relating to residents’ preferences Understanding each resident is Exclusive in line with Thames City guidelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Acts as a liaison with all resident’s guests via phone, in person, email and any other communication channel.
  • Ensure a clean environment both pre and post resident move-in and move-out process.
  • Work closely with other team members in a supportive and flexible manner, focusing on the cleanliness satisfaction of stakeholder.
  • To ensure consistent knowledge of our vision & roots and all other service standards or operating procedures.
  • Assist the Resident Services General Manager in their implementation ensuring our residential & guest experiences at Thames City.
  • To ensure any keys removed from concierge or estates management are returned to ensure a safe and secure building at all times.
  • Communicate all residents and internal enquiries with the relevant departments ensuring action.
  • To follow all Thames City procedures and guidelines in general and specifically quality assurance, FLHSSE.
  • Assist with the delivery and support of the Building Safety Act 2022 where appropriate; ensuring that buildings are safe and feel safe for all stakeholders.
  • To support the Estate Operations Manager when working with third-party service providers.
  • In order to promote a climate of warmth and care. • To attend departmental training as per the schedule.
  • Having a complete understanding of the different cleaning products, and their economical use, ensuring the appropriate cleaning materials are used in accordance with set standards/H&S policies
  • Recognise/respond appropriately to any situation which has the potential to jeopardise the safety, security and well-being of the organisation and all its stakeholders.
  • Ensuring that all operating equipment is regularly cleaned, well maintained, and in a proper working condition; reporting all malfunctions to the senior managers and/or Engineer on site.
  • Reporting of any damages, scuffs, marks or scratches to both equipment or property to Estate Operations Manager. 
  • Taking direct ownership of designated areas and ensuring they are meeting our standards at all times.
  • To clean according to schedule all back of house and front of house areas as detailed in the daily checklist within DM Book Pro.
  • To perform all daily tasks outlined in the shift task list found in DM Book Pro in a proactive, professional and timely manner with the overall aim to delight our residents with uplifting & blissful moments.
  • To perform any other duties or projects assigned by the Estate Operations Manager in their absence.
  • To maintain the cleanliness of all welfare areas to meet the standards set out by the Estate Operations Manager.
  • To support the vision of a clean and presentable environment at all times within Thames City, for both residents, guests & colleagues.
  • To be involved with comprehensive and informative handovers with colleagues within the village ensuring a seamless service
