We are seeking for a BI Analyst to work in the BI Reporting & Automation team reporting to Manager of Reporting. As a Reporting Specialist, you will assist the embedded analytics team in producing a best-in-class reporting suite and democratize data access within the company. You will champion automation and Dashboards use in the company and mentor embedded analysts with dashboard creation.
What you will do:
- Become Power BI expert in the company. Meet POWER BI team to ensure to be kept in the loop of their Product backlog, and promote internally new features released.
- Gather detailed requirements for each reporting request (both business requirements and data requirements.) and translate them into technical designs and solutions. Prioritize reporting requirements/enhancements/bugs and execute on development and delivery.
- Develop best in class dashboard visualization.
- Build Power BI Datasets to provision to end users; ensuring data quality, consistency in formatting, and ease of use for end users to perform their ad hoc reporting/dashboard creation.
- Work with large amounts of data within MS Excel including utilizing lookups, pivot tables, conditional formatting and combining data within multiple workbooks.
- You will train analysts and business community in BI reporting to promote adoption of tools.
Who you are:
- High level of SQL working with large datasets.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Previous analytical experience.
- Experience working with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, etc.
- Knowledge of database and data warehouse design, ability to query SQL across multiple platforms.
- Ability to communicate to all levels clearly, concisely and effectively in written, presentation and verbal form.
- Strong communication skills; both verbal and written are essential.
- Flexible and highly organized with the ability to manage own workload.
- Excellent documentation skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Adapts well to pressured working environments and self-motivated.
- Problem solving and technically aware.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to multitask without direct supervision.
- University degree in business, computer science or MIS is a plus.
