Vehicle Technician: Cosmetic/Bodyshop Technician
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: Up to £38k Basic Plus OTE
Hours: 40 hours between Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm, plus 1 in 3 Saturdays 8:30am - 12:30pm
Lookers Volkswagen Teesside are recruiting for a Bodyshop Technician to join their fantastic workshop, you will play a vital role, carrying out vehicle health checks using the latest technology, conducting vehicle services and carrying out any additional repairs.
Here at Lookers Teesside, you will report to the accomplished Aftersales Manager, who will give on-going support to ensure you have the tools needed to succeed in your role. Our Bodyshop Technicians play a vital role within our Service team by delivering first class customer service every time. We want you to be part of our success. If you’re a qualified Vehicle Technician or an experienced Mechanic, whether you work in a dealer group or independent garage, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities
- Carrying out a variety of cosmetic repairs including stripping, refurbishing and fitting parts to damaged vehicles
- Act as a multiskilled Smart Repair Technician undertaking all aspects of repair as required
- Work effectively as part if a team of skilled Bodyshop Technicians
- Full use of PPE and adherence to health and safety requirement when carrying out repairs
- Adhere to manufacturer repair guidelines when carrying out repairs
The ideal candidate will have prior experience as a mechanic. You'll be self-motivated, ambitious, and eager to learn, while being able to work to the highest standards. You will require a full UK driving licence and completion of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
Having previous experience of working with brand would be advantageous, although not essential as full brand accreditation training can be provided.
