About the Client

Our partner is a payment gateway provider that operates a massive ecosystem of brands. They simplify complex payments through smart routing technology, real-time monitoring, and SSL/PCI DSS Level 1 security.

As their exclusive recruitment partner, we manage their full-cycle talent acquisition.

What You Will Do

• Collaborate directly with stakeholders to uncover their core business needs and translate them into robust data requirements.

• Design and maintain interactive, highly functional dashboards in Metabase, iterating continuously based on user feedback to ensure maximum utility.

• Extract and manipulate data by writing accurate, highly efficient SQL queries that reflect the real-time state of the payment platform.

• Define and monitor vital performance metrics, including approval rates, chargeback ratios, decline reasons, and payment processor efficiency.

• Partner with internal teams and global customers to execute specific data requests, troubleshoot platform issues, and identify underlying trends in transaction failures.

What You Bring

• Advanced SQL Expertise: Highly comfortable writing complex queries, utilizing CTEs, joins, and window functions to extract precise insights.

• Data Visualization: Proven hands-on experience building and managing charts in modern BI platforms (prior experience with Metabase is a distinct advantage).

• Data Engineering Foundations: Solid working knowledge of modern ELT workflows and platforms.

• Industry Acumen: Familiarity with the payments industry, particularly within high-risk, complex, or high-volume environments.

• Exceptional Communication: The ability to distill complex, technical data into clear narratives for non-technical customers, alongside the confidence to lead requirement-gathering calls.

• Pragmatic Mindset: A strong preference for functional, easy-to-read, and impactful dashboards over designs that simply look "fancy."

• Bonus Points: Experience setting up or managing Observability & Monitoring platforms such as Datadog or Coralogix.
