ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are looking for a motivated, commercially-minded and strategically-oriented FP&A Lead to join our finance team in Berlin. As a vital part of the team, you will drive forward our financial insights, planning, forecasting, and performance analysis effort, working closely with the CFO & stakeholders across the company and leading a high-performing FP&A function.

This is a hands-on role with strong ownership across strategic finance initiatives, reporting, budgeting, and investor relations. You’ll combine functional expertise with cross-functional collaboration and the opportunity to shape how financial insights guide key business decisions. We are a growing and entrepreneurial team, and this role offers significant room to grow with the business - both in scope and leadership.

This is a full-time role based in Berlin.

ONCE YOU ARE HERE YOU WILL:

  • Lead the financial planning and analysis function, including monthly reporting, forecasting, and scenario modeling
  • Partner with the CFO and leadership team to deliver timely, forward-looking insights that support strategic decisions
  • Build and manage a lean FP&A team, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture
  • Develop and improve financial models and dashboards to track KPIs and business performance
  • Support budgeting cycles, ensuring engagement and alignment with functional leads
  • Drive financial transparency across the organization, translating data into actionable insights for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Continuously improve financial systems, processes and data structures, ensuring scalability and accuracy as we grow
  • Support the CFO with corporate strategy initiatives and investor relations, when needed

WHAT WE NEED YOU TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • 6-8+ years of experience in FP&A, including at least 2 years in a leadership role managing a team
  • Strong experience in financial modeling, strategic planning, and cross-functional business partnering
  • Proven track record in a SaaS or software environment, with a solid understanding of subscription-based metrics and dynamics
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with planning/reporting tools; Salesforce user knowledge is a plus
  • Proactive, hands-on approach, comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth, entrepreneurial environment
  • Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and a bias toward action

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU:
  • €1,000 annual learning budget, full LinkedIn Learning access, and free German language courses to boost your skills
  • 30 days of annual leave, plus extra paid days for your birthday and moving day
  • Home office setup budget, a monthly home office allowance
  • Freedom to work from abroad for up to 90 days worldwide!
  • Mental health support with nilo.health and a discounted Urban Sports Club membership
  • 20% company subsidy on your pension contributions
  • BVG public transport ticket and welcome your furry friend to our dog-friendly Berlin office!
