ABOUT THE ROLE:
As a Sales Engineer with a focus on Partnerships, you will be a key part of our collaborative and strategically focused Partnerships team helping our partners understand our solution/incentives engine and provide support during the sales cycle
You will be responsible for providing technical leadership and guidance to our partner ecosystem to help accelerate their knowledge, solution design and integrations with Talon.One. Working closely with our partner managers, you will be responsible for enabling key technology and agency partners on Talon.One’s Loyalty & Promotion Engine, supporting technology integrations, recommending best practices and ensuring a high standard of quality.
Due to the complexity of the commerce landscape and the constant evolution in our partners offerings, you will be a crucial source of information for our GTM team, there is a strong need for a Sales Engineer with excellent foundational knowledge, the ability to adapt in real-time, and a capacity for quick learning.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Help technology and agency partners to understand the value Talon.One can bring to their clients, rapidly get up and running and build integrations and guide them with best practices. Complete Audits to verify best practices have been adhered to ensure our joint customers have a best in class integration that is reliable, scalable and feature rich.
- Partner Enablement: provide training and guidance to agency partners to successfully launch their first project and support on corresponding projects. Gain visibility to support and audit integrations to help ensure reliability, scalability and success of the project.
- Design & Architect solutions to affirm how Talon.One can fit into complex tech stacks. This can involve support building custom built POCs that integrate with multiple technologies & creating data flow charts all of which must stand up to scrutiny from our prospects
- Work closely with product, customer success, and partner GTM teams to establish and document best practices, guidelines, and the overall process to both support/enable our technology partners as well as enforce the highest quality of integrations for Talon.One customers
- Sales Enablement: Create repository of demo environments/credentials for Talon.One owned connectors (training, solution briefs, demo narratives, FAQs)
- Educate the Talon.One sales and customer success team on partner connectors and GTM solutions
- Advocate for the needs of prospects & users across established integration patterns and in prioritizing the roadmap for new integrations
- Liaise with the product organization to shape features and directions
WHAT WE NEED YOU TO BRING TO THE TABLE:
- 5+ Years experience as a Partnership or Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect or Business Analyst with a technical background
- Ability to create consensus across technical and business stakeholders within enterprise organizations
- Excellent understanding of modern application architectures (e.g. REST APIs, Microservices, Container Deployment). Understanding of IT organizations, development of IT applications and, IT operations in medium to large-sized companies
- Engineering or Computer Application background
- Previous experience with problem-solving in a fast-moving, technical environment
- Passion for consulting and ability to apply and present complex solutions effectively
- Ability to adapt and tailor communication based on the industry and people you are dealing with
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex topics in easily-understood, concise language
