What You Will Do

As a People & Talent Intern, you will be a vital, dual-focused member of the People team, splitting your time equally between Talent Acquisition (TA) and People Operations (PO). This role is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on, foundational experience across the entire employee lifecycle—from hiring to onboarding and daily operations—and directly contribute to Lighthouse's hyper-growth and organizational efficiency.

Where You Will Have Impact

People Operations (PO): Drive Operational Excellence and Compliance

HR Systems & Data Management

  • Conduct weekly audits of HiBob (HRIS), payroll, and benefits master data to ensure data accuracy across global teams.
  • Perform ongoing HRIS clean-up (tasks, workflows, documents) to improve system design and efficiency.
  • Maintain and update Confluence pages related to People Ops procedures and documentation, ensuring information is current and accessible.

Process Improvement

  • Identify and document operational inefficiencies (manual or repetitive steps).
  • Suggest and test process improvements to increase automation and reduce administrative workload.

People Operations Administration

  • Support onboarding and offboarding activities related to local benefits and labor risk prevention administration (e.g., in Spain).
  • Support various payroll-related processes and system updates.
  • Assist with Belgium's car fleet administration
  • Conduct monthly timesheet reviews for Spain and Germany and perform time-off policies spot checks to ensure compliance with company and legal policies.
  • Manage the internal travel platform (Navan), including user list maintenance.

Talent Acquisition (TA): Support Our Growth Engine

Recruiting Support

  • Support the full-cycle hiring process for non-Revenue roles (e.g., Engineering, Product, BusOps) by managing logistics and candidate communication.
  • Assist in building and managing a robust talent pipeline by actively sourcing candidates from diverse channels.
  • Gain exposure to stakeholder partnerships by supporting TA Specialists in liaising with hiring managers.
  • Support the maintenance of a clear overview of our global hiring approaches, promoting consistency and equity.

TA Business Support & Process Improvement

  • Help create and enable uniformity and scalability in our hiring and reporting processes.
  • Assist in identifying bottlenecks, proposing process improvements, and keeping up with new TA technology and trends (including AI tools).
  • Support Employer Branding and Events by helping to organize recruitment events and driving social media awareness.
  • Dive into recruiting data to help identify trends and inform TA strategies.

  • Strategic Delivery: Ensuring the timely and high-quality delivery of the global hiring plan and providing world-class operational support to all teams.
  • Process Excellence & Scalability: Maintaining a consistent, fair, and efficient employee lifecycle process that scales with the company's hyper-growth.
  • Compliance & Accuracy: Ensuring meticulous management of HR data, compliance with labor laws, and smooth administration of critical processes like payroll and benefits.

Who You Are

Essential:

  • A student currently enrolled in a relevant Bachelor's or Master's program (e.g., HR, Business, Psychology, Law, Communications, etc.) and seeking an internship of minimum 3 months
  • A meticulous and data-oriented approach to work, with a strong commitment to accuracy and detail.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, comfortable juggling multiple tasks between two different functions.
  • A proactive mindset with an eagerness to identify problems and propose solutions for process improvements.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills in a fast-paced, international environment.
  • Proficiency in English
