The opportunity
This role supports the safe, compliant and efficient operation of our workplace by coordinating facilities services, maintenance activity and health and safety processes. Working closely with the Facilities & Health & Safety Manager, you will help ensure our premises remain safe, well maintained and fit for purpose for employees, visitors and contractors.
Alongside day-to-day facilities coordination, the role includes responsibility for supporting health and safety compliance activities and fulfilling Preventive Officer duties. You will work with colleagues, suppliers and contractors to maintain a safe working environment, coordinate preventative maintenance activity, manage facilities systems and records, and support the delivery of workplace standards across the site.
What you'll be doing:
- Coordinate day-to-day facilities operations, including maintenance activity, workplace services and contractor support.
- Manage the Facilities Jira ticketing system, ensuring requests are assigned, monitored and completed.
- Coordinate planned preventative maintenance activities and maintain associated records, certifications and documentation.
- Manage warehouse access control processes, visitor access and security card administration.
- Support onboarding and offboarding activities, including workplace setup, access rights and health & safety inductions.
- Maintain stock levels for facilities-related supplies and support purchasing activity across the business.
- Review facilities invoices and support procurement administration.
- Conduct workplace inspections and audits, recording findings and escalating maintenance or safety concerns where required.
- Ensure contractors meet health & safety requirements before commencing work on site.
- Maintain health & safety documentation, risk assessments, SOPs and training records.
- Support DSE compliance processes and workplace risk management activities.
- Monitor incidents and near misses, supporting corrective actions and compliance improvements.
- Coordinate and support First Aider and Fire Warden programmes, including emergency testing activities.
- Participate in health & safety meetings and carry out Preventive Officer audit activities.
What we're looking for:
Essential
- Fluency in spoken and written Dutch and English.
- Experience working in a Facilities, Health & Safety or workplace operations role.
- Demonstrable experience, or a recognised qualification, in health and safety compliance within a similar environment.
- Experience coordinating facilities activities such as maintenance, contractor management or workplace services.
- Experience supporting risk assessments, health & safety documentation or compliance processes.
- Experience working with stakeholders, suppliers or contractors to deliver operational services.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
Desirable
- Experience administering workplace access control or facilities management systems.
- Experience supporting onboarding and workplace induction activities.
- Experience coordinating emergency preparedness activities such as fire safety or first aid programmes.
- Experience working with facilities ticketing or workflow systems such as Jira.
Salary:
€3.250 - €3.350 EUR
