The opportunity

This role is responsible for improving the performance, consistency and design of our warehouse and logistics processes. Working within the Analyst and Automation team, you will own the documentation and analysis of end-to-end operational processes across inbound, storage, fulfilment and outbound logistics activity.

You will act as the process subject matter expert for warehouse operations, translating day-to-day activity into structured process documentation and evidence based improvement opportunities. The role works across multiple functions including Customer Care, Finance, Manufacturing and Key Accounts to ensure logistics processes are fully connected across the wider business and not improved in isolation.

What you'll be doing:

  • Own and maintain warehouse and logistics process documentation, ensuring SOPs, process maps and supporting materials are accurate, controlled and up to date.
  • Maintain a full understanding of “as-is” warehouse processes including goods-in, put away, picking, packing, dispatch, returns and stock control.
  • Analyse operational processes using observation, stakeholder input and performance data to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
  • Design improved “to-be” processes and assess feasibility against operational, system and physical warehouse constraints.
  • Carry out impact assessments and gap analysis for proposed process changes.
  • Define and track baseline and post-change performance metrics to measure improvement outcomes.
  • Support testing activity for ERP, WMS and logistics system changes.
  • Facilitate workshops with operational teams and stakeholders to define and agree process improvements.
  • Act as subject matter expert for warehouse and logistics processes, supporting clarity and consistency across teams.
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure process handovers and dependencies between departments are clearly understood and aligned.

What we're looking for:

Essential

  • Experience in business process analysis, continuous improvement or operations analysis within a warehouse, logistics, fulfilment or supply chain environment.
  • Experience analysing operational processes and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy or performance.
  • Experience producing and maintaining process documentation such as SOPs, process maps or work instructions.
  • Experience using operational data to support recommendations and measure outcomes.
  • Experience facilitating workshops or structured stakeholder discussions to define or improve processes.
  • Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver process improvements.
  • Experience using tools such as Lucidchart, Microsoft 365 and SharePoint.

Desirable

  • Experience working in a multi-market or international logistics environment.
  • Experience supporting ERP, WMS or TMS system change projects from a process perspective.
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen or similar continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience contributing to structured change or improvement backlogs.

Hours and Days:

  • Monday to Friday; 09:00-17:15

Hybrid Working:

  • This role follows a hybrid model, with 1 to 2 days per week based in the office. Flexibility will be required to support business needs, including occasional additional office attendance where necessary.
  • Some travel across Europe will be required as part of business and project delivery.

Salary:

£31,000 - £36,000 GBP
