Senior Process Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Process Engineer to join our Dublin-based team. You will be responsible for optimizing production systems and technologies, managing projects to improve manufacturing efficiency, and driving automation efforts. You will lead continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring that our processes meet industry standards while driving cost reductions and improving quality. This position requires a hands-on engineer with a deep understanding of lean manufacturing, process design, and automation.

Key Responsibilities:

Process Optimization & Automation:

  • Edit and update work plans and work instructions, continuously improving production systems and automating assembly processes.
  • Plan, implement, and integrate new automated assembly systems in line with company principles and project timelines.
  • Analyze manufacturing workflows to increase equipment availability and overall production efficiency.

Project Management:

  • Lead the design and implementation of manufacturing systems, workstations, and equipment following modern lean manufacturing principles.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary project teams to develop and execute manufacturing concepts for customer-specific products.
  • Oversee project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure successful project delivery.

Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement:

  • Initiate, conduct, and lead continuous improvement (CIP) measures, from idea generation to implementation, with a focus on optimizing service levels.
  • Conduct work and time studies to drive efficiency improvements.
  • Implement Kaizen activities and lean management techniques across manufacturing operations.

Compliance & Quality Control:

  • Support the creation and revision of process Failure Mode and Effects Analyses (FMEAs), production control plans, and plant layout designs.
  • Develop assembly and production flow diagrams to align with industry requirements.
  • Identify and address quality issues by reviewing and improving manufacturing processes for cost-reduction, quality yield enhancement, and efficiency.

Validation & Documentation:

  • Prepare validation test reports and documentation to ensure that all processes meet company standards and customer requirements.
  • Create and maintain validation planning documentation and support User Requirement Specifications (URS) for new projects.
  • Develop functional design specifications and define process aid equipment needs.

What we are looking for … 

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related field).
  • Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in process engineering, with a focus on automation, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement in a high-volume production environment.
  • Editing work instructions and developing process design for New Product Introduction (NPI).
  • Conducting time measurement studies for process optimization and ratio execution.
  • Preparing functional design specifications and addressing quality issues in manufacturing.
  • Leading Kaizen activities and applying lean management principles for continuous process improvement.
  • Budgeting and managing project resources, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Proficiency in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies (CIP, Kaizen, MTM, REFA).
  • Strong understanding of industry standards and requirements.
  • Experience with process FMEA, production control plans, and plant layout development.
  • Ability to plan and integrate automated assembly systems.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in process validation and documentation.
