The role:

As a GTM Technical Consultant at Leapwork, you will be our senior technical expert responsible for designing, building, and maintaining complex Salesforce solutions. You'll lead technical delivery, conduct code reviews, and ensure our development practices meet enterprise standards. This role combines hands-on development with technical leadership—you'll build custom integrations, develop Lightning Web Components, configure CPQ, and guide other developers whilst working directly with UK, EU & US stakeholders. We need someone with deep Salesforce expertise who can translate business requirements into robust technical solutions and champion best practices across our GTM tech stack.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Solution Design & Development: Design and develop scalable Salesforce solutions that meet business requirements whilst adhering to platform best practices and architectural principles.
  • Custom Development: Build custom functionality using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, and other Salesforce technologies. Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code.
  • CPQ Technical Ownership: Configure, customise, and maintain Salesforce CPQ including product rules, price rules, quote calculators, Java-script plugins, and advanced automation. Provide technical expertise on CPQ capabilities and limitations.
  • Integration Development: Design, develop, and maintain custom integrations between Salesforce and external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, and event-driven architectures.
  • CI/CD Implementation: Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub, Azure DevOps, or similar. Ensure deployments are automated, reliable, and follow best practices.
  • Code Reviews & Technical Leadership: Lead code reviews for development team members. Provide constructive feedback, ensure code quality standards, and mentor developers on best practices.
  • Declarative Development: Build sophisticated automations using Flows, Process Builder, and other declarative tools. Balance custom code with platform capabilities appropriately.
  • Technical Documentation: Document technical designs, integration specifications, and code functionality to support maintainability and knowledge transfer.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Work directly with business stakeholders across UK, EU & US to understand technical requirements, explain solutions, and provide expert guidance on feasibility and approach.
  • Quality Assurance: Write comprehensive unit tests, conduct thorough testing of your own work, and ensure solutions meet quality standards before deployment.
  • Technical Standards: Champion development best practices, coding standards, and architectural principles across the team.

Role Requirements:

  • Experience: 5–6 years of hands-on Salesforce development experience with a proven track record of delivering complex technical solutions.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficient in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, JavaScript, and Salesforce platform APIs. Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
  • Solution Design Skills: Demonstrated ability to design scalable, maintainable solutions that balance business needs with technical best practices and platform limitations.
  • CPQ Development: Demonstrable hands-on experience configuring and customising Salesforce CPQ including advanced features, custom plugins, and complex pricing logic.
  • Experience with RCA / Salesforce Revenue Cloud is a plus.
  • Integration Experience: Proven experience designing and developing custom integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, middleware platforms, and integration patterns.
  • CI/CD Proficiency: Experience implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and automated deployment processes for Salesforce.
  • Technical Leadership: Experience leading development teams, conducting code reviews, and mentoring developers. Comfortable providing technical guidance and direction.
  • Declarative Development: Strong proficiency with Flows, Process Builder, validation rules, and other declarative automation tools. Understands when to code vs. configure.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent English verbal and written communication skills are mandatory. Must be comfortable engaging with business stakeholders and explaining technical concepts clearly.
  • GTM systems experience: experience with HubSpot, DocuSign, as well as revenue operation tools is a plus
  • Consulting Background: Preferably from a partner or consulting environment with experience delivering solutions for multiple clients in a client-facing capacity.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and design elegant solutions.
  • Quality Focus: Committed to writing well-tested, maintainable code that adheres to Salesforce best practices and enterprise standards.
  • Self-Managed: Able to work independently across time zones whilst maintaining strong collaboration with UK, EU & US-based stakeholders and team members.
