Senior BMS Engineer
Lead the Delivery of Critical Building Management Systems
We're looking for an experienced Senior BMS Engineer to take ownership of the engineering, design, commissioning, and delivery of BMS packages on large-scale, mission-critical projects.
This is a senior-level role for someone who can manage technical delivery from concept through to handover, lead subcontractors and stakeholders, and ensure systems are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
What You'll Be Doing
- Help lead the production and coordination of BMS design and engineering deliverables, including:
- Tier 2 submittals
- I/O point lists
- Equipment schedules and schematics
- Panel, device and wiring layouts
- Functional specifications
- Testing, acceptance, and O&M documentation
- Convert functional specifications into fully operational BMS systems.
- Witness factory testing and support system commissioning.
- Manage design changes and maintain technical documentation.
- Coordinate and oversee BMS subcontractors on site.
- Monitor programme, quality, safety, and installation progress.
- Attend project meetings, walkdowns, and coordination reviews.
- Ensure testing, commissioning, and handover activities are completed successfully.
- Support project close-out, client demonstrations, and final documentation delivery.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience delivering BMS projects in a senior engineering capacity.
- Strong understanding of BMS design, controls, commissioning, and testing.
- Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of project delivery.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience within data centres, pharmaceutical, industrial, or other complex construction environments is highly desirable.
