The role of the Senior Electrical Engineer is to provide technical leadership and oversight on
electrical engineering deliverables across projects. The Senior Engineer manages design
development, provides expert reviews, mentors junior engineers, and supports project teams to
achieve compliance with specifications, standards, and client expectations.


Key Responsibilities
Management

  • Lead engineering tasks and support the Lead Engineer in managing project technical
  • Coordinate technical input across design, procurement, construction, and commissioning
  • Mentor and guide Project and Graduate Engineers to build team capability.
  • Prepare project engineering documentation, trackers, and progress reports for

EHS

  • Ensure compliance with EHS Plans on all assigned projects.
  • Promote safe engineering practices in design and site-based activities.

Procurement

  • Oversee preparation and review of RFQ packs and evaluate vendor responses for
  • Advise PM and procurement teams on technical scope alignment with submittals.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of technical submittal registers.

Quality

  • Review and comment on quality plans, ITPs, and CTQs for projects.
  • Define system boundaries and oversee preparation of test packs.
  • Attend and witness FATs/SATs, ensuring technical compliance with specifications.
  • Lead closure of engineering-related snags and confirm readiness for third-party

Planning

  • Support integration of engineering activities into project schedules.
  • Update and monitor commissioning trackers and other engineering deliverables.

Business Development

  • Assist in the preparation of technical project summaries and reports.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and vendors.

Engineering

  • Lead technical reviews of design deliverables and coordinate resolutions of design
  • Manage design deviation logs, RFIs, and technical submittal production.
  • Review BIM models and coordinated drawings for compliance, constructability, and
  • Provide oversight of commissioning activities including test protocols, walk-downs, and
  • Support value engineering and continuous improvement initiatives across projects.

Communications

  • Provide weekly reports, trackers, and updates to PM and Lead Engineer.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for technical queries between site teams and design

Risk

  • Identify and escalate technical and project risks to the Lead Engineer and PM.
  • Contribute to the development of mitigation strategies and maintain risk logs.

Commercial

  • Evaluate technical aspects of variations and support PM/QS in commercial discussions.
  • Provide input into project cost-saving initiatives through value engineering.

HR

  • Mentor Project and Graduate Engineers and support their development plans.
  • Attend CPD events and represent the electrical engineering discipline in training initiatives.
