The Role

As a People Operations Working Student, your core focus will be office coordination and administrative support across people operations. You’ll play a key role in ensuring our Berlin office runs smoothly and support HR processes that contribute to an outstanding employee experience. You’ll take ownership of various tasks—ranging from organizing office operations and supporting new joiner onboarding, to managing HR documentation and assisting with travel and visa processes. This role is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the inner workings of a modern and international People & Culture function. The position is on-site at our Berlin-Mitte office.

Key Responsibilities

Office Coordination

  • Be the main point of contact for the building management and vendors to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
  • Maintain a tidy, well-stocked, and welcoming office environment
  • Coordinate office access, handle post and deliveries, and support with ad-hoc needs

Event & Engagement Support

  • Help plan and execute team events, cultural initiatives, and employee engagement activities. 
  • Assist with logistics, setup, coordination, and communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support travel and visa-related admin for international employees and visitors 
  • Assist with collecting documents, coordinating appointments, and booking tickets
  • Keep track of follow-ups and open tasks

HR Admin & Personio Support

  • Regularly clean up and maintain accurate records in our HRIS (Personio), ensuring data accuracy of personnel data.
  • Assist in regular system audits
  • Help properly storing physical employee documents and files
  • Prepare employee amendments, certificates of employment and other documents.

Onboarding Coordination

  • Schedule onboarding meetings across departments and time zones
  • Coordinate equipment and IT access for new joiners
  • Ensure a smooth and welcoming onboarding experience for every new team member

What You Bring

  • You are currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Berlin
  • Fluent in German and English (written and spoken)
  • Strong interest in HR, people operations, and administrative processes
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and highly organized
  • A proactive mindset and a passion for making things run smoothly
  • Comfortable multitasking and working independently in a dynamic, international team
  • Available to work 20 hours/week on-site at our Berlin office
