About the Role
We’re looking for a Tools Developer to enhance operations by building internal tools, automations, and integrations that improve reliability, observability, and operational efficiency. You’ll work closely with teams to streamline workflows, reduce manual effort, and support mission‑critical systems.
What You’ll Do (Job Scope)
- Build internal tools and automation to support different teams in improving system reliability and response efficiency.
- Provide technical support for tools, dashboards, and systems used across local and remote offices.
- Diagnose issues, coordinate fixes, and support operators to ensure a smooth user experience.
- Create and maintain monitoring dashboards, metrics, alerts, and health checks.
- Troubleshoot applications and servers, perform root cause analysis, and handle escalations.
- Integrate third‑party systems (Jira, Confluence, Slack) to reduce manual work and improve workflows.
- Automate infrastructure tasks using Puppet, scripts, and cloud services.
- Maintain documentation, runbooks, and process improvements.
Required Technical Skill Set
- Languages: Ruby, Python, JavaScript, Bash
- Frameworks: Ruby on Rails (MVC), Bootstrap
- Frontend: HTML5, CSS3
- API & Data: REST APIs, JSON, Integrations (Jira, Confluence, Slack)
Systems & Infrastructure (DevOps)
- AWS: Lambda, IAM, Cognito, SES
- Servers & OS: Ubuntu/Debian Linux, Nginx, Apache
- Automation: Puppet Development, Ubuntu KVM
- Databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL (Relational Querying & Schema Design)
Observability & Monitoring
- Grafana dashboards and visualizations
- Zabbix for system/network monitoring
Development Workflow & Productivity
- Git, GitHub
- Visual Studio Code, GitHub Copilot
Qualifications (Non‑Technical)
- Experience providing local or remote IT support.
- Bachelor’s Degree in IT or related fields.
- Intermediate Linux background.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently under pressure.
- Team‑oriented and eager to learn new technologies.
