International Lawyer
Due to the active growth of our product, we are seeking an International Lawyer to ensure the company’s legal compliance across multiple jurisdictions and help successfully achieve strategic goals at the international level. You will be responsible for regulatory requirements, account openings, drafting international contracts, risk management, and safeguarding the company’s interests.
This position also includes strategic advisory, corporate governance support, and active interaction with regulators to ensure stable business growth in global markets.
Responsibilities
- Ensure company compliance with regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions
- Support licensing applications for new markets, keeping the company informed and aligned with all regulatory updates and compliance protocols
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, including client agreements, partnership contracts, vendor agreements, and NDAs, ensuring all terms protect the company’s interests
- Provide expert legal counsel on complex international contracts and cross-border agreements, focusing on the Company’s protection, dispute resolution, and regulatory adherence
- Simplify the process of opening accounts with banks, EMIs, PSPs, and other financial institutions to support business needs
- Conducting checks and ensuring compliance for account openings, as well as maintaining relationships with financial institutions
- Oversee any disputes or litigation, coordinating with external counsel and ensuring the company’s interests are represented and safeguarded
- Maintain and manage corporate records for compliance with jurisdictional requirements, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records
- Oversee corporate governance initiatives and provide legal insight into restructuring, M&A, and partnership decisions as required
- Act as an advisor to management and teammates on legal matters, offering actionable insights into changes in law
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in banks, law firms, or IT companies (Financial providers, EMIs, PSPs etc.) in compliance, international law, or law-related role
- Degree in law, finance or economics
- Experience with account openings and relationship management for banks, EMIs and PSPs
- Proficiency in contract drafting and negotiation
- Strong knowledge of international laws, with experience in multi-jurisdictional compliance
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English (at least Intermediate — there will be verbal communication with foreign clients and providers)
- Ability to conduct complex negotiations, defend the interests of the company, work with risks
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with regulatory bodies, internal teams, and external counsel
