Design Team Lead

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in UX/UI, motion, and graphic design, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. Previous experience in Fintech or tech startups is highly desirable
• Proficient in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects), and other relevant design software
• Strong understanding of user-centered design principles, with experience in user research, usability testing, and data-driven design decisions
• Proven experience in leading and mentoring high-performing design teams. Ability to inspire and motivate others to achieve excellence
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and strategies to stakeholders at all levels
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically and creatively to deliver innovative design solutions
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with evolving priorities and tight deadlines
• Competitor analysis, knowledge of current design trends and best practices, and the ability to adapt to an existing brand
• English Upper-Intermediate level or higher
• Portfolio: A compelling portfolio showcasing your design expertise across UX/UI, motion, and graphic design. Demonstrated ability to create visually stunning and user-friendly products

Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary design team, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous learning
• Develop and articulate a comprehensive design strategy aligned with the company’s goals, ensuring consistency and excellence across all digital and print touchpoints
• Oversee the creation of user-centric designs that are intuitive, accessible, and aesthetically pleasing. Drive the UX/UI design process from ideation to implementation, ensuring a seamless user journey
• Spearhead the development of motion graphics and animations that enhance user interaction, engagement, and brand storytelling. Ensure all motion design elements align with the overall brand identity
• Lead the visual design efforts for marketing, branding, and product materials, ensuring all designs are aligned with the company’s brand guidelines and values
• Work closely with product, engineering, and marketing teams to ensure design requirements are met and design solutions are effectively implemented
• Champion a user-first approach by incorporating user research, testing, and feedback into the design process. Use data-driven insights to refine and improve designs
• Stay ahead of design trends and emerging technologies, ensuring that our design practices are at the forefront of industry standards
• Establish and maintain a robust design system that streamlines design processes and ensures consistency across all products and platforms
• Define and track design performance metrics, using qualitative and quantitative data to assess the impact of design decisions on user experience and business goals
