About the role:
As Chief Supply Chain Officer, you will design, scale, and spearhead Jumia Ghana’s supply chain framework through decisive operational and strategic leadership. You will be responsible for building, mentoring, and directly managing a high-performing supply chain team.
What you will be doing:

Process Excellence: Implement and standardize best-in-class fulfillment and supply chain workflows nationwide.

Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and scale robust fulfillment and logistics teams capable of supporting rapid business growth.

Fleet & Vendor Management: Oversee localized fleets and third-party logistics (3PL) networks, driving strategic negotiations to optimize costs.

Performance Tracking: Own business outcomes, ensuring strict daily, weekly, and monthly tracking of operational KPIs.

Operational Execution: Safeguard the seamless fulfillment of all orders while maintaining process agility to swiftly resolve daily operational emergencies.

Reporting & Governance: Produce comprehensive executive reports on operational metrics, targets, and performance variances.

Financial & Budgetary Control: Manage departmental budgets and ensure all month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial processes are accurately executed.

Project Delivery: Drive the end-to-end project management of new operational initiatives and special strategic assignments.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain/Logistics, Economics, Engineering, or a related field. Relevant professional certifications are a strong plus.

Analytical Rigor: Advanced data analytics capabilities (proficiency in Excel, macros, pivot tables, and workbooks) with a proven track record of turning data into actionable reporting.

Industry Background: Solid years of commercial experience within E-commerce, FMCG, or fast-paced multinational logistics operations.

Domain Expertise: A deep understanding of e-commerce best practices, digital supply chain dynamics, and evolving customer and vendor behaviors.
