
Last Mile Manager PUS - Plateau Mosquée - Jumia (Full Time)

What you will be doing
- Inbound Logistics: Oversee the unloading of shuttles (trucks) coming from the sorting center and scan packages to integrate them into the Hub's inventory.
- Storage Management: Physically organize the Hub (shelving, sorting zones) to optimize space and ensure packages can be located within seconds.
- Reverse Logistics: Identify unclaimed packages within the set deadlines, scan them, and prepare them for return to the central warehouse.
- Physical Audits: Perform regular and rolling inventories to ensure physical stock perfectly matches the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Reception & Delivery: Ensure every customer is welcomed according to Jumia standards and that counter waiting times are minimized.
- Live Problem Solving: Manage on-site customer complaints (missing packages, system errors, withdrawal code issues) with calmness and professionalism.
- Hub Maintenance: Guarantee the cleanliness, security, and respect for Jumia's visual identity both inside and outside the station.
- Daily Supervision: Manage schedules, breaks, and rotations for the PUS (Pick-Up Station) agents and Customer Service Associates assigned to the Hub.
- Training: Train new agents on Jumia tools (scanners, delivery apps) and customer service etiquette.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor the individual productivity of agents (number of packages delivered per hour) and provide daily motivation.
- Payment Reconciliation: Oversee daily collections (Cash on Delivery, Mobile Money, POS) and ensure the cash drawer matches the delivered packages.
- Bank Deposits: Prepare and secure cash deposits according to strict Jumia procedures.
- Security: Ensure the safety of the building, the inventory (theft prevention/shrinkage), and the staff.
What we are looking for
- Education: Degree (High School Diploma to Associate's Degree/Bac to Bac+2) in Business Management, Logistics, Management, or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 to 4 years of experience in managing a shop, an agency, or in retail logistics.
- Technical Skills: Mastery of basic IT tools (Excel for daily reports, familiarity with scanning/barcode systems).
- Financial Rigor: Excellent cash management skills and the ability to handle financial flows with absolute precision.
- Inventory Knowledge: Understanding of basic inventory management principles (FIFO, audits).
- Proximal Leadership: Ability to supervise, give feedback to, and motivate a small team on the ground.
- Customer Service Mindset: Empathy, patience, and excellent professional presentation.
- "Hands-on" Reactivity: Proactive approach to operational tasks, including unloading, shelving, or serving customers during peak periods.
- Integrity: Zero tolerance for cash or inventory discrepancies.
