SOC Analyst - Jumia (Full Time)

What you will be doing

• Monitor security alerts and events for potential threats.
• Research and investigate suspicious activity using security tools and procedures.
• Assist with incident response activities, following established protocols.
• Document findings and contribute to reporting on security incidents.
• Stay up-to-date on emerging threats and vulnerabilities.
• Participate in training and exercises to develop security skills and knowledge.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the SOC team lead.

What we are looking for

• Currently enrolled in a cybersecurity, computer science, or related degree program.
• Understanding of cybersecurity concepts and principles.
• Familiarity with security tools and technologies (SIEM, IDS/IPS, etc.) is a "plus".
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized.
