Key Account Manager - Jumia (Full Time)

What you will be doing
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with C-level executives and account managers of our top brands and distributors in the category. You will be one of the key external representatives of Jumia in this category, alongside the Country Managing Director and CCO.
- Develop and execute strategic plans to drive sales growth and maximize revenue across your portfolio.
- Lead the acquisition of new high-potential brands and large distributors to enrich our assortment and consolidate Jumia’s leadership in your category.
- Identify and unlock monetization opportunities by promoting and selling Jumia’s advertising and visibility services to brands and partners in your portfolio.
- Collaborate with marketing and commercial planning teams to build promotional campaigns tailored to your accounts and the category dynamics.
- Analyze sales performance and market data to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Monitor and report on key account metrics, including sales, inventory, campaign performance, and customer satisfaction.
- Negotiate win-win agreements and long-term partnerships with key accounts, ensuring mutual profitability and sustainable collaboration.
- Stay ahead of market trends, competitor activity, and evolving customer preferences to inform your strategy and recommendations.
- Coordinate closely with internal teams (merchandising, operations, logistics, etc.) to ensure flawless execution and customer satisfaction.
What we are looking for
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the industry.
- Top Engineering, Business Schools & Universities (top 5 of your field for your country).
- Proficiency in MS Office and Google tools.
- Familiar with relationship management tools.
- Strong commercial & analytical skills.
- Great capacity to handle high-stakes negotiations.
- Strong interpersonal skills: Convince the people and your team that you are making the right decisions.
- Great ability to work in a fast-paced and competitive environment.
- Flawless English
