Partnership Revenue & Operations Lead - Group - Jumia (Full Time)

The Partnership Revenue & Operations Lead is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of partnership projects, from forecasting and stock planning to ensuring profitable execution and growth. This role demands strong collaboration with Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of revenue opportunities, cost management, and partner success. The position requires a 'hands-on' approach to monitor profitability, manage operational challenges, and drive continuous growth in partnerships.

What you will be doing

Supplier and Partner Operations Management

  • Lead the onboarding of international suppliers and business partners by conducting thorough KYC processes and ensuring the execution of all necessary legal agreements.
  • Oversee the commercial operations of international suppliers, ensuring the timely execution of deliverables and operational efficiency.
  • Manage key business partner relationships by coordinating the documentation required for accurate invoicing and timely payment collection.
  • Collaborate with partners to forecast business scope and align on revenue targets, directly contributing to Jumia’s top-line growth.

Importation and Supply Chain Coordination

  • Drive end-to-end importation processes from international suppliers to Jumia’s warehouses across Africa, ensuring compliance, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Facilitate smooth onboarding of all importation stakeholders, ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and align on strategic business opportunities with internal teams, acting as a key liaison between commercial, operations, and logistics departments.
  • Work closely with the finance team to secure and mobilize payments, ensuring an uninterrupted supply flow to warehouses.

B2B and Direct Import Operations Management

  • Revenue Forecasting & Stock Planning
    • Collaborate with the Supply Chain and Fulfilment teams to forecast and plan stock requirements for online sales, distribution sales, and back-to-back deals.
    • Monitor the expected revenue from each project and ensure it aligns with forecasts and targets.
  • Cost & Profitability Management
    • Develop detailed cost structures for each shipment, managing profitability in collaboration with internal teams and partners.
    • Build opportunities on Retool, tracking business models and profitability commitments to ensure targets are met.
  • Partner Communication & Needs Management
    • Maintain daily communication with partners to understand their current needs and challenges.
    • Work proactively to solve pain points related to shipments and upcoming opportunities, fostering stronger and more productive partnerships.
  • Importation & Stock Availability
    • Plan stocks required for international importation and share stock availability with Key Account Managers (KAMs) to align on operational needs.
    • Ensure all SKUs are priced correctly, and profitability is managed across each project.
  • Product Management & Communication
    • Create new SKUs in Jumia’s systems for partner products and coordinate with the content team to ensure accurate and timely updates.
    • Oversee the management of importation logistics, ensuring seamless execution and closure of projects from start to finish.
  • Logistics & Problem-Solving
    • Lead efforts to resolve any importation obstacles by working closely with the Logistics team, clearance agencies, and relevant stakeholders.
  • Partnership Management
    • Maintain and grow existing partnerships, ensuring continuous alignment on business objectives and opportunities.
    • Control the full partnership lifecycle, from commercial communication with the Central Team and Partners to operational coordination with Jumia Logistics and Finance.
