In this pivotal role, you'll forge strategic partnerships with the continent's leading television brands, fast-tracking your career toward executive leadership positions like Chief Commercial Officer, Managing Director, and Category Director within the Jumia Group. Your vision will directly influence how millions of African families create their dream homes, managing relationships with top TV and home entertainment brands. This strategic position offers direct access to Jumia's senior leadership team, making you a key player in Africa's booming home entertainment market.
As a Junior Key Account Manager at Jumia, you'll be at the heart of what drives us: growth and profitability. This is a role where Jumia Group is heavily investing in talent, with the expectation that our top performers will become the next generation of Chief Commercial Officers (CCOs), Managing Directors (MDs), and Category Directors across the group.
You will manage one or more categories, building end-to-end relationships with C-level executives from our most important brands and vendors. Your responsibilities will span from core commercial activities to operations, and even co-organizing Jumia's key commercial events. This broad scope gives you all the tools you need to steer your categories toward success. This position offers significant exposure to our Managing Directors, CCOs, and even the Jumia CEO, providing unparalleled opportunities for learning and advancement.
What you will be doing
- Building strong links with C-levels and account managers of our top brands and vendors.
- You should justify a flawless understanding of the TV ecosystem and market.
- You will be the only one, along with the CCO & Head of Electronics, to represent Jumia in front of those key accounts.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships with these key accounts.
- Develop and implement strategies to drive sales and maximize revenue within the category.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to create and execute promotional campaigns and initiatives tailored to the category.
- Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Monitor and report on key account metrics, including sales performance, inventory levels, and customer satisfaction.
- Negotiate and finalize agreements with key accounts, ensuring mutual benefit and sustainable partnerships.
- Provide exceptional customer service and support to key clients, addressing any issues or concerns in a timely and effective manner.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences within the category.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including merchandising, operations, and logistics, to ensure seamless account management and fulfilment.
