
Key Account Manager (General Merchandise) - Jumia (Full Time)

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Junior Key Account Manager to join our e-commerce team and focus on managing key accounts within the Home Appliances category. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with key clients, driving sales, and implementing strategies to enhance the category's performance on our platform.
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage key accounts within the home category, including but not limited to small appliances, large appliances, and related products.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships with key clients.
- Develop and implement strategies to drive sales and maximize revenue within the category.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to create and execute promotional campaigns and initiatives tailored to the category.
- Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Monitor and report on key account metrics, including sales performance, inventory levels, and customer satisfaction.
- Negotiate and finalize agreements with key accounts, ensuring mutual benefit and sustainable partnerships.
- Provide exceptional customer service and support to key clients, addressing any issues or concerns in a timely and effective manner.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences within the category.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including merchandising, operations, and logistics, to ensure seamless account management and fulfillment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
- Proven 2 to 4 years of work experience in commercial, account management preferably within the e-commerce or retail industry.
- Strong understanding of the category, including product knowledge and market dynamics.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to think strategically and develop actionable plans to drive category growth.
- Proficiency in using CRM software, Excel, and other sales management tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented approach.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
