Head of Traffic Ops - Jumia (Full Time)

We are seeking an experienced Head of Traffic Operations to lead and optimize our digital traffic strategies across all marketing channels. This role will be crucial in driving quality traffic to our platform while ensuring efficient resource allocation and conversion optimization.

What you will be doing 
  • Develop and execute comprehensive traffic acquisition strategies across all digital channels
  • Lead and mentor a team of traffic managers and digital marketing specialists
  • Analyze traffic patterns, user behavior, and conversion metrics to optimize marketing campaigns
  • Collaborate with other departments to align traffic objectives with business goals
  • Manage and optimize marketing budget allocation across different channels
  • Implement and monitor KPIs for traffic quality, cost per acquisition, and ROI
  • Drive innovation in traffic acquisition methods and testing new channels
  • Oversee SEO/SEM initiatives and paid media campaigns
  • Create and maintain traffic forecasting models

What we are looking for 

  • 7+ years of experience in digital marketing/traffic management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
  • Proven track record in driving significant traffic growth in e-commerce
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data-driven decision making
  • Deep understanding of digital marketing channels (SEO, SEM, Social Media, Display)
  • Experience with marketing analytics tools and attribution modeling
  • Strong team leadership and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience in budget management and resource allocation
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field
