Security Team Lead - Jumia (Full Time)

What you will be doing:
- Conduct regular patrols and inspections of supply chain facilities to monitor for security breaches, unauthorized access, and suspicious activities.
- Monitor security systems and technologies, including access control systems, surveillance cameras, and intrusion detection systems, to identify and respond to security threats in real-time.
- Respond to security incidents and emergencies within the supply chain, assisting with investigations, gathering evidence, and preparing incident reports.
- Assist with the implementation of security procedures and protocols to protect supply chain assets, including warehouses, distribution centers, and transportation networks.
- Provide support to the Security Team Lead and other security personnel in conducting security awareness training and guidance to supply chain personnel.
- Maintain accurate records of security incidents, activities, and personnel assignments, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Assist with the coordination of security-related activities and events within the supply chain, including security audits, drills, and exercises.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Logistics, and Human Resources, to address security concerns and implement corrective actions.
- Participate in the development and implementation of emergency response and crisis management plans for supply chain facilities.
- Follow established protocols and procedures for handling confidential information and sensitive security matters.
What we are looking for:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- years of experience in security or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Basic understanding of security principles, practices, and technologies.
- Strong observation skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with others.
- Flexibility to work variable shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed to support operational needs.
