
Demand Planner - Jumia (Full Time)

The Demand Planner is responsible for ensuring optimal stock availability by aligning supply chain activities with demand forecasts. This role acts as a critical link between supply chain, finance and commercial teams (KAMs) to ensure efficient inbound scheduling, and accurate inventory data maintenance.
What you will be doing:
PO Management & Supplier Alignment

Prepare, raise, and manage POs in OMS for new and existing products, ensuring alignment with weekly procurement meeting decisions and MOQ approvals.

Liaise with vendors to confirm costs, quantities, and delivery dates, and collaborate with KAMs to verify pricing accuracy.

Track the PO lifecycle, route orders for approval, and promptly close out or cancel fulfilled or delayed orders.
Inbound Planning & Inventory Control

Schedule and book stock deliveries in the Inbound Scheduler, notifying management and providing daily schedules to warehouse security.

Maintain data quality by resolving SKU mismatches with commercial teams and monitoring product launch statuses via PowerBI dashboards.

Provide weekly inbound performance reviews, tracking reschedules, failed deliveries, and missing paperwork.
Data Maintenance & Finance Liaison

Collect and update supply chain data (EANs, costs, discontinued lines) from suppliers and ensure implementation by KAMs.

Partner with the Finance team to flag and resolve incorrect, mismatched, or missing vendor invoices.
What we are looking for:

Data & Analytical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel and BI tools, with a proven ability to analyze and manage large datasets.

Stakeholder & Supplier Management: Strong communication skills to effectively manage supplier relationships and collaborate with internal commercial teams.

Organization & Execution: Exceptional organizational, prioritization, and project coordination skills to manage multiple timelines efficiently.

Attention to Detail: High accuracy in data management, purchase order creation, and financial tracking to minimize supply chain errors.

Systems Expertise: Hands-on experience or familiarity with Jumia's core tools (OMS, Inbound Scheduler, and BOB/PET) is highly preferred.
