In this role, you will be the go-to expert for our marketing technology stack, ensuring our campaigns are flawlessly tracked, our data is pristine, and our strategic decisions are backed by deep analysis. You will be responsible for transforming raw data into actionable insights, suggesting improvements, and defining the technical requirements needed to drive our marketing efforts forward. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver, fluent in the modern marketing ecosystem, and passionate about leveraging technology to achieve business goals.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Own the Marketing Data & Technology Ecosystem: Manage and audit the end-to-end tracking implementation across all marketing platforms (e.g., GA4, Meta, TikTok, CRM, MMPs like Adjust) using Google Tag Manager (GTM).
- Drive Data-Driven Strategy: Perform deep analysis of marketing data to identify trends, flags and opportunities. Translate your findings into actionable recommendations to improve the campaigns set up.
- Develop & Standardize Tracking: Create and own a comprehensive channel mapping and UTM parameter strategy to ensure accurate, consistent business reporting and cross-channel attribution.
- Bridge Teams & Define Requirements: Act as the key liaison between marketing and technical teams. Analyze business needs and author clear, detailed requirements for our Engineering and Data teams to execute.
- Manage Platforms: Serve as the subject matter expert for our core marketing platforms. Lead the evaluation and implementation of new tools and effectively manage relationships with external partners and consultants.
- Build & Analyze Reports: Develop insightful reports and dashboards using tools like Looker Studio to provide marketing teams with timely and granular performance data.
- Stay Ahead of the Curve: Continuously monitor the latest industry trends, platform changes, and emerging technologies to ensure our MarTech stack and strategies remain best-in-class.
What We Are Looking For:
- Proven hands-on experience in a technical marketing, MarTech, or marketing analytics role.
- Fluency with a wide range of marketing platforms, including deep, hands-on expertise with Google Analytics (GA4) and major Mobile Measurement Partners (MMPs) like Adjust.
- Advanced proficiency with Google Tag Manager (GTM) for implementing and managing complex marketing tags and tracking setups.
- Strong experience in defining and managing UTM parameters and channel hierarchy mappings for multi-channel marketing campaigns.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to perform deep data analysis and translate it into actionable business requirements.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Looker Studio, Power BI) to build insightful reports and dashboards.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively work with internal marketing, tech, and data teams, as well as external consultants.
- A proactive and curious mindset with a passion for staying updated on the latest trends and technologies in the marketing landscape.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, e-commerce or app-focused business is highly preferred.
- Basic SQL skills for data querying and analysis is a plus.
We Offer:
- A unique experience in an entrepreneurial, yet structured environment
- A unique opportunity of having strong impact in building the African e-commerce sector
- The opportunity to become part of a highly professional and dynamic team
- An unparalleled personal and professional growth as our longer-term objective is to train the next generation of leaders
