Raw Materials Warehouse Leader

This role forms part of our 7 600m2 Raw Materials Warehouse, which houses our fabrics and trims to supply our manufacturing facilities in Lesotho on time and in full as well as a state-of-the-art quality lab for fabric testing, employing first class technology. This facility is a key part and the start of our value chain ensuring our raw materials and ultimately our garments are of the highest quality standards. 

 

The Raw Material Warehouse Leader will be responsible for efficient stock management of all fabric and trims and leading warehouse operations, ensuring that the warehouse team performs brilliantly and efficiently in order to supply our factories according to company requirements.

 

The main responsibilities of the role include:

  • Controlling, overseeing and directing the activities across the teams and ensuring that functional systems are in place daily. 
  • Investigating and reporting on all service levels internally from picking through to dispatch.
  • Maintaining strict security procedures and Raw Material Warehouse protocols.
  • Managing, controlling and reporting all health and safety, maintenance and security defects.
  • Managing and coordinating any overtime required.
  • Ensuring that warehouse equipment is maintained according to the requirements of the company.
  • Leading the team by setting an example, guiding and developing team members; anticipating challenges or opportunities and responding to them efficiently.
  • Working very closely with, and providing efficient service to Procurement, and our manufacturing facilities.
  • Work to tight deadlines in a demanding, high-volume warehouse.
  • Able to work extended hours and available after hours when required.

 

The experience we’re looking for:

  • 5-10 years’ warehouse leadership experience preferably holding fabric and trims.
  • Proven leadership experience, leading a team of 30 - 50 people.
  • Worked with Warehouse Management Systems, preferably also barcode scanning, picking and packing.
  • Computer literate using MS Office (including very good Excel), Syspro, WMS and Datascope systems.
  • Knowledge of occupational health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Valid driver’s license with own reliable transport.
