Maintenance Lead

To ensure our talented teams can continue bringing their brilliant best in a meticulously maintained and welcoming space, we are seeking an experienced and proactive Maintenance Lead to join our Jonsson Workwear HQ team in Durban.

In this essential role, you'll leverage your expertise, self-starting energy and can-do work ethic to ensure our HQ offices are maintained to the highest standards.  

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Executing maintenance and repair requirements across our facilities.
• Recruiting and managing external service providers when required.
• Proactively and continually assessing the premises to locate facility damage and maintenance requirements.

Essential skills and experience that will make you a perfect fit for this role:

• Extensive hands-on maintenance experience across electrical, plumbing, carpentry, building, and general repairs
• A thorough understanding of the Occupational Health & Safety Act
• A relevant trade qualification (e.g. electrical or plumbing) is advantageous
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an eagle eye for identifying both current and potential faults
• Ability to coordinate and manage repair and maintenance tasks – efficiently, successfully and cost-effectively
• Experience in planning and executing infrastructure projects from start to finish, ensuring on-time, in-full delivery
• Leadership experience with the ability to supervise and delegate constructively and clearly
• Ability to confidently take charge and make sound decisions under pressure
• Lead by example with your consistent punctuality, reliability and collaborative approach
• Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with the flexibility to adapt priorities as needed
• Willingness to work extended hours to see projects through to completion, and travel when required
