Social media & Community Manager

Birmingham, England, United Kingdom

The Joblogic Story

Established in 1998, Joblogic is the UK’s #1 Field Service Management (FSM) software platform. We are a global business with offices in the UK, Pakistan, and Vietnam. Since our management buy-out in 2013, we have grown from ~£500K ARR to ~£35M+ ARR and expanded our team from 11 to 500+ people.

Recently, we secured a strategic growth investment from Vista Equity Partners — a global technology investor specialising in enterprise software. This investment includes over £100 million in new primary capital and will fuel our next phase of growth by accelerating our AI-first roadmap, expanding our platform into CAFM (Computer-Aided Facilities Management) capabilities, and supporting our expansion across Europe and beyond.

With Vista’s backing, we’re transforming from a successful UK business into a global scaling SaaS rocket ship, and we’d love for you to join us on our journey to £100M ARR across international markets.

Joblogic provides software to service contractors who install and maintain the built environment. Our platform helps businesses streamline operations, improve profitability, ensure compliance, and achieve rapid growth. With over 100,000 users across industries including HVAC, plumbing, electrical maintenance, facilities management, and building fabric maintenance, we are entering a new era of intelligent automation, predictive maintenance, and data-driven decision-making for service firms.

About the role

This is a brand-new role in an established marketing team, built to turn social media into one of marketing's biggest assets. You'll own it end to end, expanding into the right channels for our audience and creating content yourself, not just managing other people's output.

We need someone who can take a perfectly decent LinkedIn presence and turn it into one genuinely worth following: broader reach, a stronger brand, and real commercial return. You'll set the cadence, the tone, and the content itself, and you work with our designer and video creator to add high-production creative on top of what you make yourself. We'll start with LinkedIn, then move into Meta platforms over time.

What your main focus will be

  • Own all activity on the LinkedIn company page and relevant stakeholder profiles, including the posting schedule and advocacy programmes via HubSpot
  • Create social media content yourself day to day: writing captions, creating graphics, and repurposing videos to create a dynamic and compelling mix of posts
  • Own reporting on reach and engagement across every channel you run
  • Work with our designer and video creator so their high-production creative supplements your own output across channels, rather than being the only source of content
  • Monitor and respond to comments, mentions and DMs across every channel, in a voice that sounds like a real person rather than a brand account
  • Spot and nurture the customers, partners and advocates who talk about us unprompted, and give them a reason to keep doing it
  • Keep an eye on the wider industry conversation, so we show up in the right comments and threads, not just our own feed, and route any queries to the right person in Sales, Support or Product
  • Identify and launch a presence on the right additional channels for our audience, recommending tools as needed; there's budget for the right platform once the channels are chosen
  • Bring in and manage freelance specialists where a channel genuinely needs skills outside your own

Working with the wider team

This role has full ownership of Joblogic's social channels, starting with LinkedIn and expanding into new ones as the right fit becomes clear.

  • You work with our designer and video creator so their high-production creative adds to what you make yourself, rather than being the only source of content
  • Outside of Marketing, you will be collaborating with LinkedIn stakeholders across different departments, to establish posting schedules and nail down tone of voice
  • Where a channel genuinely needs skills outside your own, you bring in and manage freelance specialists
  • You report to Olivia Christian, Content Manager

What success looks like

  • Posting cadence and engagement trend upward as LinkedIn matures and new channels come online
  • Channel expansion is real: a genuine presence somewhere new, with actual content and an actual audience, not just an account that exists
  • A real, two-way community built around Joblogic's channels, not just outbound posting: people comment, tag us in and come back
  • This role moves reach, engagement and audience growth; it isn't judged on organic search visibility, that's a different goal with a different owner in the team

What you bring

Essential

  • Hands-on content creation skills: you can write, design images, and edit short-form video and stills yourself, not just brief someone else to do it. The wider team works in Adobe, Figma and Canva, so you need a working knowledge of these tools
  • Real experience running social channels beyond a single platform, or a clear track record that shows you could
  • Experience moderating, growing or actively engaging with an online community, whether that's a branded group, a forum or simply a comments section that never gets ignored
  • Comfort defining direction and building a strategy for LinkedIn and other platforms, not just maintaining one that already has an audience
  • The judgement to know when to make something yourself and when to bring in the designer, video creator or a freelance specialist instead

Nice to have

  • Experience with short-form video editing tools (for example CapCut or Premiere Rush)
  • Familiarity with community or social listening tools (for example Sprout Social, Khoros or Orbit)
  • Experience in B2B SaaS, trades, or field service
  • Experience in B2C social media marketing

About you

You're a hands-on creator who can write, create and edit yourself, not just brief someone else to do it. You're excited by the idea of building a channel from close to zero, not just maintaining one that already has an audience.

You're genuinely online. You notice what's landing in your own feed and why, and you bring that instinct to Joblogic's channels instead of posting on autopilot. You're naturally curious about what's happening in the industry and on the internet more broadly, and quick to spot a conversation, trend or moment worth joining.

You're as comfortable replying to a comment as writing the original post, and you know how to sound like a person having a conversation, not a brand reciting a line. A disgruntled comment or an awkward DM doesn't throw you: you handle it calmly and turn it around.

You know when to make something yourself and when to bring in the designer, video creator or a freelance specialist instead, and you're ready to bring outside, freelance-run work in-house and own it for the long term.
