WHY WORK AT JOE & THE JUICE

JOE & THE JUICE is a people-centric food and beverage company built around culture, not just juice, sandwiches, coffee, and much more. When joining us, you step into a high-energy community where the music is loud, the bar is your stage, and your personality matters as much as your skills.

We believe in four simple virtues that shape everything we do:

  • Positive Attitude
  • Inclusion
  • Social Ties
  • Growth

For us, this means that when you choose a cup-half-full mindset, welcome people from every background, build real friendships across the bar by creating great guest experiences, and use every shift as a chance to learn something new — you become more than just a Juicer; like us, you continue to search and find purpose and meaning in what you do.

From your first day, you’ll be part of an international network of Juicers who support each other, celebrate wins together, and push each other to grow. You will learn by doing, move through a clear Moneyball career path, and be part of a company where most leaders have earned their stripes behind the bar (fun fact: over 75% of our employees started as Juicers!).

If you love fast-paced service, music, people, and the idea of turning a job into a lifestyle, JOE can become a place to build skills, friendships, and a career that can take you across cities, countries, and roles.

JOB SUMMARY

As a District Manager at JOE & THE JUICE, your district is yours to build. You spar closely with your Operational Manager, and you lead the Store Managers who lead every store beneath you, giving you a full financial and operational view across your whole district. Your success here comes down to how well you develop genuinely engaged leaders, so that every store under you delivers the guest experience that turns first-timers into regulars. You report to your Operational Manager, and you're ultimately accountable for your district's cost budget, sales targets, and profit.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead your team the way JOE leads, grounded in our virtues, not just what's written in a handbook, and make sure every Store Manager under you leads that way too
  • Own recruitment, onboarding, and performance management for your managers, working closely with HR, and always have your district's next generation of talent ready before you need them
  • Develop your Store Managers through real 1-1 plans, engagement actions, and hands-on training, so leadership across your district keeps getting stronger, not just staying afloat
  • Keep every store in your district safe, compliant, and up to standard, with full accountability for maintenance and facilities across the board
  • Make sure shift planning works across every store, accounting for seasonality and local events, while keeping every team's hours fair, legal, and within budget
  • Stay on top of stock and cost of goods sold across your district, so no store drifts past target
  • Own the numbers for your whole district, sales, profit, and the KPIs that come with running more than one store at once, reviewed weekly and monthly, not just when something goes wrong

WHO YOU ARE

  • You think in numbers as easily as you think in people, because at this level, both matter equally
  • You communicate clearly, even across multiple stores and managers, and people trust what you tell them, because you mean it
  • You're not here because a title is going to change your life, you're here because you never stop adding tools to your toolbox, and at this level, the tool you're building isn't a skill, it's other leaders
  • You're genuinely motivated to grow as a people-centric leader at scale, someone who wants to build other leaders, not just manage a location

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • Experience leading managers, not just a floor team, with a clear understanding of the difference between running a store and building people who can run one themselves
  • Experience requirement needed, e.g. prior Store Manager experience, years in multi-unit leadership
  • Punctuality and a sharp, professional appearance, respecting your team and your guests, and doubly so when setting the standard for every store in your district
  • Schedule: Full-time

ABOUT JOE & THE JUICE

JOE & THE JUICE is a healthy fast-casual concept founded in Copenhagen in 2002; since then, we have grown to more than 500 locations across 20 countries and now employ more than 4,500 people worldwide. From day one, our ambition has been to prove that there should be no trade-off between taste and health.

We serve high-quality, freshly prepared juices, shakes, coffee, and sandwiches in relaxed, contemporary concept cafés that combine convenience with distinct urban atmospheres. JOE & THE JUICE goes beyond products towards the full experience around the bar, creating a consistent universe for guests and Juicers in all our locations.

We invest heavily in internal development through our Moneyball career system and a culture where most leaders, including C-suite, VPs, and directors, have started behind the bar. We continue to evolve our people-centric and sustainability agenda that is part of our Nordic heritage and our commitment to a better future.
